I think highlighting is more like in the first game. Since they revealed the highlighting in Human Revolution everyone seems to think that's what highlighting is in every game, why? I love to have the kind of highlighting like in the first The Witcher or Diablo or others like that, as a toggle option binded to a key or just binded to a key, keeping it pressed when you want to highlight the objects (the latter is what I prefer). I really don't see what's bad in that.

TAB key highlighted items/containers in Throne of Bhaal. Did Bioware implemented "the worst of the console stuff" in Baldur's Gate 2?

The only "valid concern" here is that you have a radical deficiency of life and that u should go outside instead of sitting in your cave and analyzing things u never saw nor experienced.

You obviously don't know me.. my post history should make it clear I was only making a joke. I don't jump on the hatemobile for unreleased games..

Replaying the first witcher, man this game is a mix of absolute genius and terribly annoying game play. Some of the mechanics are so awkward, hope they fixed this for the second one.
Also hate how quest related nps walk around town, alternating between their "jobs" and "homes" during the day. Makes finding someone to complete a quest an absolute chore.
All said and done, fun game but nowhere near Dragon Age...

heaven forbid a dev try to create a realistic world... this is why we end up with empty towns and npcs that never move an inch from the 'quest stall' they operate... every town in either dragon age game, always felt incredibly empty and false... give me witchers setup any day.
funnily enough i never had a problem with them being 'out' during the day.. if anything, i found it helped immerse me more in the world because they felt like characters rather than quest dispensers.
i actually have no complaints about the first game, beyond tightening up combat (ie: integrating magic a lot better.. it always felt like putting on the breaks whenever i wanted to use signs) and the inventory i guess.
everything else was perfect. atmosphere, music... that 'lived in' real world feel, that you just dont get from games like dragon age with their rain-or-shine always reliable npc placements

I'd say most of The Witcher 1's problems came from the engine. The movement and combat always felt kinda awkward to me.

+1. DA1 was a decent semi-generic dungeon romp, with a slightly above-average story(much more than can be said of the sequel). Combat was it's biggest saving grace. The Witcher had story, atmosphere, characters that were lightyears ahead of that game. And the combat was fun, though very different from most RPGs combat systems.

No im not trolling, for instance I did the quest for the counter fiter near the exntrance to the sewers. Now the guys just dissapered. I tried going to him during the day, during night, but the cunt just wont show up...
Dont get me wrong, I didnt rant on the game completely. Like I said its a mixed bag, but it keeps me interested so it is a very fun game. Just some issues you wish they can fix for nr 2 which Im hoping will be spectacular.

People bitch about NPCs just standing around in RPGs, not doing anything. You bitch about NPCs walking around? Weird.

I think the devs themselves said in an interview way back that they had to limit the combat a lot because the engine was limited.
