Stop posting on the hump and finish it so you can start on TBoGT!

I'm taking my time, lol. iCE1.35 comes out in 3 days. I'm gonna wait for that before playing TBoGT. Besides; you wouldn't believe the backlog of games I have on the go right now. It's insane.. I've got maybe 20 games all "started" and "in the middle of" >_<

Trust me, TBoGT will trump most of what you have on your list
If it weren't for the fact that I've got BF3 to play atm in the few free hours I have, I'd probably have that reinstalled

You said switching to a quad processor would fix the framerate. I was actually using my x3 as x4 just 3 days ago and the framerate were same.
You're using sandy bridge I take it? Im getting almost the same FPS I was getting with athlon 64 x2 with Athlon II.
Shitty port is just shitty. I hope LA Noire to be turn out better.

Worked for me. Switching from a dual-core Wolfdale to a quad-core Sandy Bridge caused the framerate to double (more even) at max settings. I could barely sustain 30-34 on MEDIUM settings on my old rig, now I rock 40-60 on MAX.

Could it be the GFWL or version 1.7?
Edit: Or AMD drivers. So here is the situation:
Im getting low gpu usage inside the city and full usage when im looking at empty spaces, as i said tons of times before.

Nope, I was running 1.0.7.0 on my old rig too. And GfWL has no bearing on the performance, IMO.

It's not as much going from dual -> quad (although that does help a bit) as it is just pure power. The jump from Core 2 Duo to Nehalem was big (it also doubled my FPS, from E8400 to i5-760), Sabin skipped that one and went for one that's even better. Nehalem at 2.8 GHz beats C2D at 3.8 easily in terms of performance, let alone Sandy Bridge.
That and overclocking helps. A lot.

There's texture pop-in for me too, 8GB/DDR3 and 1280MB on the GTX570. It's just shitty coding, as traschi said.

Are you using the -memrestrict switch? I had tremendous pop-in before using this switch, couldt'n make a turn which out popping textures.

You mean -nomemrestrict? Naw, I'm not.. didn't think it was needed due to being able to max it out anyhow. Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Odd! Well, I'll give it a try... it can't hurt, I guess, though restricting VRAM to 1GB would LOSE 280MB from my original. Isn't that going to hamper anything?

Restrict it to the vram you have, so -memrestrict 1342177280 should be right for you.

Hmm, are you absolutely sure it's -memrestrict? According to google, that command doesn't exist. It's -NOmemrestrict or -availablevidmem, but nobody makes any comment regards to -memrestrict

I put this in a new text-file named Commandline.txt
Quote: | -norestriction
-nomemrestrict
-availablevidmem "4.0"
-percentvidmem "100" |
4.0 = 2GB VRAM
And for the guy with a 6950, does it have 2GB and have an unlockable bios (ie. you can open the remaining shaders)?
