|
 |
Is there a way to play GTA:SA with a refresh rate higher than 60 Hz without using an external app like ForceWare's refresh rate forcer or some other 3rd party app?
e.g. file edit, command line option, etc
I'm currently running at 1280x1024x32 (same as my desktop, which runs at 75 Hz btw) on an XFX GeForce 6800 GT
TIA

start/run/dxdiag/more help/override/override value/type whatever suits you best but remeber about what refresh rates can your monitor handle

for nvidia
open a txt file and paste this in it....
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak]
"NvCplDisableRefreshRatePage"=dword:00000000
....then rename the .txt file to .reg and double click it to add to the registry, then we can have our lovely overide refresh rate option back in the nvidia control panel
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

Btw, does anyone know where GTA-SA saves the display settings? My brother can't change them cuz it exits when he presses on 'Advanced'.

There's no difference between clicking on it and selecting it with keyboard and pressing enter. It's keeps going back to windows.

ATI owners don't need that, cytalyst drivers have a build in override function there you can choose the frequency you want.

I updated my drivers and now the override thing works. It only works on 85hz but my monitor can handle 100hz too. When i set it to 100hz it just goes back to 60hz. Well im happy now 85 is still much better then 60hz. Thanks for your help everyone.
Plz dont be mad at me.
