I tried some of those things, but it was the same thing. Anyway... so I took every file that I copied into the game's Data folder out and the crashes are gone. I put back the mods that were only .esp files and the Interface ones and everything's still fine. It's definately something related to some textures or meshes as those are the only files that I haven't put back. Now I only have to find out which ones, as all this modding process went good until I started to put some actual mods and not only textures.
4) Most likely you'll need the "allow 4gb ram usage" patch to allow skyrim to use more RAM otherwise you'll encounter purple textures/crashes
Most likely because of this, as I can't use that... or is there some cracked version of that?
Any LAA program to patch the exe would work actually, if you mean the above that's just because of Steam and how that interferes, I recommend this one myself - http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php
I think I've mentioned before how the game uses like 1.2 - 1.7 GB of available RAM, around ~1.8 and it's pretty close to running out of what's available for 32-bit applications, however with this it can utilize up to 4 GB though I've never seen higher than around 2.4 GB RAM usage myself.
Anyway what I mean is that only a few simple texture replacers can be enough to push the limits of what the game exe can handle, this is why the LAA method have been so recommended with this game and likely why Bethesda will add it to the next update.
(Shouldn't have any adverse effects, it's a one byte change or such to the exe header though if you have low amounts of RAM already this might cause some extended stuttering and dramatic framerate drops just to mention a possible side effect on lower end systems.)
I suppose it's just as good, right? Haven't tried the game to see if the crashes are gone yet though. I was looking on the nexus for some more retextures. I would like some higher resolution textures for the shields and maces especially. Also, do you know how I can fix the transparency problem? The one caused by SSAO I mean. I mentioned it earlier.
How the motherfucking fuck do I get rid of the bounty in Markarth ? Is there a console command that actually works or a mod ?
I don't want ot lost the stolen goods and the idiots at the flagged shit in don't have an option (I've been reading that thieve's guild members can get paid to get rid of bounty)
HALP
I had the same dilemma:
Spoiler:
it turns out its an actual quest you MUST get tossed in jail and do the quest that triggers
Once this guy is done with everything he has in plan to retexture, there won't be much else to replace in the game, in terms of textures (maybe the other cities?).

i like the nightin'gale armor... its just a pity its so piss-weak compared to what i crafted.
thats kinda the big disappointment for me now. any rewards i get i always have to just stuff into a closet in my house because its all weak shit. id LOVE it if the weapons DID actually scale with you, so that there would be something to look forward to during quests... but as it is, you kinda need to be done with all your quests before you hit 30 or something, for them to yield cool usable shit.
just finished the thieves guild quest, and the armor and bow i got were meh woulda been awesome if id done the quest at a lower level or didnt level my crafting though...
OH YEAH. and i did run across that crazy woman again... the one i mentioned way back that ran up to me and yelled WABBAJACK WABBAJACK WABBAJACK!! and demanded i hit her with a blast from it.
When i install both of those and then load a game, my game crashes.
Strange.
remove them, and it is fine again.
Dunno, works like a charm for me. The SKSE files don't go into Skyrim/Data but into your Skyrim folder directly.
does the src folder go too? i put them in their proper place. And i copied the src folder over as well. . . but re-reading the instructions sounds like that may not need to be copied into the directory? And the 4gb launcher does launch SKSE correct? Too many beers I think. let me try this again.
EDIT: yep. Too many beers. Works fine now. Wow. This is DAMN nice.
1 stripe purple belt in JiuJitsu (good grief this takes FOREVER hahah)
installed 1.3 update, installed skse, installed skyui, loaded my last saved game just fine and it works great, using pirated version maybe youll have to update skyrim tho but the update is cracked so theres no prob.
I haven't tried yet, I just don't want the hassle of breaking anything.
Also how are the keyboard binds working on the mod? Have they been fixed vs vanilla? I've rebound my keys and have had to use a mod that somewhat fixes them.
Example: hitting the inventory button when it is open doesn't close it, but hitting the magic button when the magic menu is open does close it (that may be opposite).
chiv, do you mean the Guildmaster's Armour? According to UESP the chest piece has the highest armour rating in the game - higher than daedric even. The problem is that you need the Light Armour perks to max it out - so if you were focusing on heavy it will be useless.
Anyway I only wear armour for the looks - the Nightingale set provides enough protection for slightly challenging encounters, my full set of enchanted and upgraded daedric makes the game too easy

I forgot about that, if you are doing a certain quest (The one in the above spoiler.) and then return to the shrine afterwards there is a chance that there will be a few guards there and then if they initiate conversation with you this resets the quest back to the wanted stage.
This causes bounty to become irreversible as guards just want to toss you in jail but since that part is already done the bounty is not cleared (You're not even sent to jail.) thus Markarth becomes a bit broken.
Unless it's a generic bounty you meant, just pay it off and head to the "dungeon" or well mine and loot the evidence chest there to get the items back.

Yeah, I'm doing the mine part now, I hope after that's finished everything will be back to normal.

havent come across that one yet.. i was just talking about the armor set you get for the nightingale part of the thieves guild quest.
chiv, You get it for restoring the guild. After you finish the whole Mercer plotline - you have to continue doing those random generic jobs. After completing 5 jobs in a single Hold you'll get a special quest. There are 4 of those. Then you officially become guildmaster and get the armour. It looks exactly like the normal Thief set - just has better stats and enchantments.
you mean i have to do 5 of each of the different job types? (changing the books, heists, etc) before i get the gear? yeah ok ill get onto that. i just figured those things were for boosting stats because i didnt get the impression that there as ever any end to them - the game just generates random tasks or something...
chiv, No you have to complete any 5 jobs in every hold (Whiterun Markarth Windhelm Solitude). Can be all of the same type. You can get jobs and quit them until you get 2 stealing jobs in the same hold (Sweep and Bedlam) and complete both in one go.

Who's a good mage follower? Lydia is getting more and more in the way and I have to heal her more than I heal myself.
Although not the absolute best mage, I've had good luck using Eola. She is a summoner, stays in range and fires spells, and can heal herself.
Someone did an analysis on followers in Gfaq, and a lot of the followers do not level with you. You have to dismiss them, [console]disable/enable, then ask them to follow you again so they scale to your level. All the housecarls max out at level 50 I believe. Mecrurio I think goes up the level 40. Eola tops out at level 30. The khajit mage from the college has no level cap.
