A little late response....
My mistake, i was tried DK Jungle Beat some time ago and it was some music game, not platrofmer.Downloading DK Returns now...BTW i recomend Rayman Origins and Kirbys Returns.Great platformes. Both works perfect at solid 60fps.And of course Kirby Epic Yarn but require more performance CPU for some levels.

Hm it seems these latest Syphon Filter games on PS2, still don't work that well on emu. They're half slow mo, 45-50 FPS, not 60. Blah.

Interesting that this thread got bumped up. I just finished playing Persona 4 and I haven't had so much fun playing a game in a long long time. The entire game is full of win (esp. the brilliant true ending finale)
1 and 2 are still amazing.

I liked the P3 ending better, but non the less, Persona games are epic and thus, one of my favorite games of all times. I highly recommend you to replay P3 from the female perspective on the psp. IIRC jpcsp was able to emulate the game decent enough, but I cannot confirm it, as I bought the console, cuz of this game.

Damn, I should have read this thread earlier! Hmm.. okay, thanks for the recommendation
I hope I can use an unlimited hp cheat... some of the fights in the answer were bloody annoying
Yeah, P3 did have a darker tone and larger scope than P4 but along with that there were many things which didn't sit right with me (the whole battling in the real world thing) while P4 had the TV which felt more "game believable" somehow (especially if you paid attention to the conversation about who can see what later in the game). But still... if only more games allowed you to extend the epilogue/ending like P4 did. That end segment was really something else.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

With the removal of SH3 cave from MAME, are there places who will keep compiling the current code into mame plus? or are there special builds where people keep refining / bug fixing the code? For now i am keeping the latest official build with SH3 in it.
also i cant seem to find the custom ini files for mame plus that would have a really good category listing for the different kind of games like horizontal shooters etc.
thanks

Answer to both questions :
http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Sunnyvale/8595/
Thundermame32+, a japanese variant which the version I am using (143u9) has both the Cave games which have been removed and also custom lists which are useful for shooters.
Another alternative is MAMEUIFX, again the version I last looked at (144 Final) included Cave shooters post release.
http://mame32fx.altervista.org/home.htm
For just the ini's, I cant remember if I have added any additional but if those builds dont have what you want the carver files below should have it. J

Finally Mameworld is a good source for latest versions of stuff and info.

Hope that helps. Enjoy.

save/load or enter/exit wii menu (default key is ENTER afaik) solved sound issues for me. completed whole game, no errors.

entering the wii menu only fixes the looping sounds tho
sounds going missing are also a problem, some stages work fine but many don't.
for example stage 3-1 Wonky Waterway starts out fine, the stomping sound is usually the first to go away, then the banana pick up sound, then enemies, then ambience. At the end of the level all thats left running is the BGM. save/load also doesn't help there. only way is to restart the whole level and try to get through it as fast as possible
btw. whats the beef with every media outlet saying the game has such high difficulty? have gamers become that noobish or is it easier with the x360 pad? Its certainly challenging (esp. the -K levels) but imo always fair.
I have 70 lives now and over 800 banana coins. (I'm not cheating with save states ofc) Never saw a game over screen and didn't even know the super guide existed until I read about it in dolphin wiki.

hello
i recently found out about Dolphin and i really want to play RE:0 and RE:1 remake, but when i start any of those games i don`t get more than 15 fps, which makes the games look like they`re in slow motion. here are my specs:
Athlon 64 X2 4200+
4 GB RAM DDR2
GeForce GTX 560 1 GB GDDR5
Windows 7 64
dolphin 3.0 x64
i would appreciate some tips on how to increase the frame rate, if its possible. sure, my cpu is kinda old, but i simply can`t believe, that it can`t produce at least 25 fps in those games.

I was wondering, does RE Code Veronica for GC have a bit better graphics than the one for PS2 or am I just tripping balls?

Another milestone added to SCUMMVM, the MUNT reloaded project which emulates the Roland MT32 very accurate was added today to the daily scummvm build.
http://scummvm.org/downloads/scummvm-win32.exe <-- download here
To enjoy it select the game in the menu, go to edit game..., select audio tab, enable override audio settings and in music device dropbox select Roland MT32.
Currently listening to monkey island and day of the tentacle, for someone who grew up only knowing how they sounded in general MIDI and adlib its quite refreshing to hear a small step up in quality. below is a list of compatible games of which many run on scummvm. Enjoy

Nope, sorry. I doubt anyone is even working on it, to be honest, given that 3DS titles are AES encrypted. When functional flashcarts arrive, that's when you'll start seeing more info about a 3DS emu -- but don't hold your breath. Even current NDS emulators are far from perfect and the 3DS is leaps and bounds more powerful.

Am I doing something wrong? I still had to download and compile the required files for the emulator to work.

Ok thanks.
I tested it with Monkey Island 2 and it does sound better. Thanks for the heads up.

Wow that looks amazing!
Unfortunately there's a, er, "slight" diference between that i5-2500K@4.3GHz and my Q8300@3.3GHz.
