I've been contemplating learning a new language. I was curious what language you guys think I should attempt to learn. And bear in mind, that my inept, American brain might not be up to the task of learning Cantonese or Mandarin quite yet, even though they will rule us all some day... All that being said, what should I learn, other than proper English? Latin > French. At least Latin has a proper set of grammar rules. I cannot express my hate for that language (sorry to any Frenchmen Razz

). Apart from the lack of any structure it's also French speaking people who are just as bad as English speaking people at giving a fuck whether the person they're talking to actually understands them. They just assume they do, and don't give a fuck if not.

With French you get exceptions to exceptions to the rules of exceptions of rules within rules...OH DEAR, the French invented inception
