30FPS sucks balls, but ultimately won't change my decision.
720p won't affect me, I have a 5:4 monitor. Yeah, weird. Smile Also won't make me change my mind (also very sceptical of this just reading it without source).
GFWL, we knew already. Sucks, but also won't alter my decision.

I can't find a single source on this, so yeah... I'm not ready to believe it ... but if it IS true; consider my interest negated. I don't buy capped games, not for framerate or resolution. Fuck that.

Don't believe it. Like I said; not a single source (outside of a troll comment on GT and a mistranslated note on Famitsu) -- until they officially confirm or deny it, don't pay it any mind. If it is locked though, I'm not buying and I won't even waste my time pirating either.

Not really a mistranslation Sabin, I think the dude doesn't know much about development and Famitsu asked the wrong questions. So there's still hope in that field.

Gamespy, on the other hand did a really great job. They pretty much confirmed GFWL, so I don't know why everyone is holding on to Steamworks.

The fps and 720p lock makes sense in a engine perspective. If they don't want to change the UI I don't really think that it will scale, the same happens with the menus.

The lock, it's probably because of the physics engine and the netcode. Crappy Japanese coding and design. But it makes perfect sense.

I think they must have some resolution options. I mean, there are some people that play on 1024 x 768. It's part of the GFWL certification, it must support other resolutions.

30fps.... is 30fps... It can be at least playable on mt frameworks. This engine have some good motion blur. But 720p is not acceptable!

Also I am not sure hod this style of ui would work on pc ;/
No fuck this. 30fps is bullshit. I play pc games for 60fps/desktop native resolution.


I would not belive this anyway. This engine is well known and working great on pc. Lost Planet, Resident Evil5, DMC4, Dead Rising2 To name a few. Its one of my favourite engines.

Demons / Dark Souls via Namco Bandai and what the dev name was again are using MT Framework from Capcom?
(I don't think so but I can be wrong, I don't actually know what they're using as a base.)

These are probably rumors set by console peasants. They are using MT Framework I think, and that is quite capable of 1080p and 60 FPS as can be seen in RE5.

Some reports are claiming the game will be locked at 30 FPS, and 720P definition. But even if that’s not true, Miyazaki said the game will not get any graphics overhaul for PC. Any hopes that this game will be a serious graphical improvement over consoles can now be dashed.

30 FPS will be nice enough when used to around 20-25 on the 360, and sometimes well below that.. Hopefully someone will make tools so we can mod the textures on PC.
