Yes. do some research n overclock the processor and upgrade the ram and youll have a machine thats just about top-of-the-line as far as gaming. i had a oc'd xp1700 that ran circles around any pentium less than 3ghz in games without breakin a sweat. but yeah, definitely worth it. most games these days benefit waaaay more from gfx chips than processor anyways.
