Well, I for one don't trust them as much as I did before TW2 launched. Sure, I love it, but they took step backwards with the actual game (although it's impressive that they developed this new engine of their). I still think the first game is better than the second in every respect and yes, I repeat again, even in graphics.

True, the downside was that the game had huge framerate drops even with monster rigs (for the time). Still nothing that compromised the gameplay

The UI might as well have been from a post-Morrowind Bethesda game.

I'm not saying this is a bad or a good thing, but the game has a very consolish nature, while the first one was a pure cRPG. This all comes down to preference I guess. I for one don't like it.

It's simple. MP is the dev/publisher holy grail because it kills two birds with one stone, namely piracy and used sales. And as an added bonus, you don't need anywhere near the development resources to make a bunch of MP maps compared to the effort required to make a AAA SP "cinematic" masterpiece.

Yes. It will be released at the end of the world and it will feature all the gay sex that was cut from the Witcher games during production. And there's plenty of it!

Mod tools coming soon-ish.
http://en.thewitcher.com/community/entry/275
| Quote: | | CD Projekt RED will be attending this years Gamescom which takes place in Cologne, Germany next week. We will be hosting a series of behind closed doors, exclusive media presentations where we will be showing the REDkit, a long-awaited set of tools for modders which will allow any player to create their own content for the PC version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, such as new, non-linear adventures, great looking locations and much more. |

Patch 3.2.1 (hotfix actually)
Changelog:
The update correcting various translation bugs in the Chinese version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition. Please note that it only affects the Chinese version of the game. No changes to gameplay or additional features are being introduced with this update
Vastly unessential for the english speaking community.

I was anticipating the mod tools more than the announcement of the enhanced edition. It's great to know they haven't forgotten about releasing them.

Hrm, I'm surprised at that development. I wasn't expecting mod tools this time around. I wonder how open/powerful it will be? Looking forward to poking around its innards when it comes out.

I must admit, I too find the game somewhat difficult to keep playing - and that's not because I don't like it...
Superb graphics, good combat system, awesome storyline....so why do I just not play it after a few days? I've yet to get past chapter 2 (or 3, I forget now)
Possibly the totally awful UI? Modders might be able to make that more palatable maybe.
I dunno, maybe I'm just odd. But then, I played Skyrim for weeks on end.
I'm just odd I guess
