@ZOLLINO

The NFO section gets updated sporadically at best Sad

@topic

Finally finished;

The game counts your total play time, even if you accidentally reset your progress to a previous chapter, so add around 1hr10m or so since I dropped back to Chapter 16 by mistake.. oops. This was a truly outstanding game, I loved the pacing, the audio, the gameplay, the plot.. this really was a nice surprise, especially after so many reviews pegging it as a terrible game. I don't know what they were playing as this was great! Horses for courses I guess ^_^

Damned. Good. Game. Despite the horrible post-processing I recommend it to everyone.

Well I have been a wanker and didn't do any updates for ages. The backlog is larger than my shlong and that means something!

I also have to update the nfohump community show recommendations thread Laughing

No, and this is the funniest thing.
You have the x360 controller's picture in the menu "How to play" and in the game it is simply unusable.

Here's what i have so far:

open

UserSettings.ini in the games directory.

scroll down near the bottom and change these lines.

UseXInputByDefault=True
to
UseXInputByDefault=False

and

XBoxControllerAxis=false
to
XBoxControllerAxis=true

you will then be able to control the camera with right analog stick, scroll menus with directional pad, confirm with triangle/Y, decline with circle/B

other bindings are messed up, for instance both right triggers open the map, select pulls out the gun, right stick clicked in is run and shoot. B is crouch… messed up

hopefully this helps someone get it working.

I am trying a last thing right now, before giving up and wait for a eventual fix.

No way I am going back to KB+Mouse like 20 years ago... ^^

None of the above Smile It doesn't even tell you why the world is fucked up, it just tells you to deal with it -- even the aftershock tremors only happen a handful of times throughout the game. As H_S said; just bandits and (lots and lots of) dust.

Don't be disappointed.. try it first. Granted the scope of the game changed radically when Ubi took over and made it PS360 exclusive, but it's still excellent and DAT ATMOSPHERE!

No animals of any kind, the dust is too thick. I don't even recall seeing or hearing a single bird either.

Do you get any breather mask or something later on in the game?
I just explored everything in chapter 6, even helped that mutated dude and got the shotgun already. This was one hell of a trip, climb up, climb down, watch stamina.
Haha, well I believe I collected everything there was. My inventory is full now. (Survivor difficulty!)
I also managed to save that handcuffed girl on the roof and only wasted the one bullet.
I pushed two of the dudes from the roof, and the 3rd one gave up.
