@ZOLLINO
The NFO section gets updated sporadically at best
@topic
Finally finished;
The game counts your total play time, even if you accidentally reset your progress to a previous chapter, so add around 1hr10m or so since I dropped back to Chapter 16 by mistake.. oops. This was a truly outstanding game, I loved the pacing, the audio, the gameplay, the plot.. this really was a nice surprise, especially after so many reviews pegging it as a terrible game. I don't know what they were playing as this was great! Horses for courses I guess ^_^
Spoiler: |
The ending was a real kick in the teeth though To go through all that in the game, to struggle so hard to help people and to survive, only to get THAT ending? Yeah, life sure is a bitch sometimes.
|
Damned. Good. Game. Despite the horrible post-processing I recommend it to everyone.

Well I have been a wanker and didn't do any updates for ages. The backlog is larger than my shlong and that means something!
I also have to update the nfohump community show recommendations thread

Here's what i have so far:
open
UserSettings.ini in the games directory.
scroll down near the bottom and change these lines.
UseXInputByDefault=True
to
UseXInputByDefault=False
and
XBoxControllerAxis=false
to
XBoxControllerAxis=true
you will then be able to control the camera with right analog stick, scroll menus with directional pad, confirm with triangle/Y, decline with circle/B
other bindings are messed up, for instance both right triggers open the map, select pulls out the gun, right stick clicked in is run and shoot. B is crouch… messed up
hopefully this helps someone get it working.

It's just dust storms, earthquakes and bandits that will scare you along your way.

But that's my point, all it ever says is that
Spoiler: |
Earthquakes and dust storms happen.
|
But not why or how. I would usually hate such ambiguous crap.. but for some reason, it really does fit for this game.

I downloaded a repack with an installer that doesn't suck and finally I can play this.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Do you get any breather mask or something later on in the game?
I just explored everything in chapter 6, even helped that mutated dude and got the shotgun already. This was one hell of a trip, climb up, climb down, watch stamina.
Haha, well I believe I collected everything there was. My inventory is full now. (Survivor difficulty!)
I also managed to save that handcuffed girl on the roof and only wasted the one bullet.
I pushed two of the dudes from the roof, and the 3rd one gave up.
