That's a terrible tutorial, but the times aren't that difficult. It's just how often a vehicle departs from the depot. You can see how long a ride takes by looking at the lines and you can tweak a little bit around that.

@Areius Thanks, I will give it a try then.
Buses rotations were a bit weird (ala Simcity) in the first game sometimes, this timetables sounds like you finally have direct control over them.

Crappy Very Happy 35-50 fps on my 580gtx 3gig and quadcore. basically it´s not that bad but the hole scene is like stuttering because of the fps fluctuation. It´s not as bad as it sounds because most of the time you "work" zoomed out so you don´t notice.

BTW, anyone know how I can get the DLC Modern Collection without preorder? Confused

For me the first one was meh... but this one is a must buy. You have to know that it´s not focused on city building apart from the superb building of streets and tracks. It´s a good transportation game and for 16 € on third party sites you can´t do anything wrong! IMHO of course Smile

EDIT: Still a lot to do on this one but hey, few hours after release they already announced the mod tools. Even for the first one the devs released patches months after release so don´t worry.

It's not really the same.

Here you control a city's public transportation.

There are a few bugs (no gamebreakers) but I am very sure the devs will take care of... like they did in their first game.

Selective memory much? I was all over the first one, but this one. No sale until I see some actual listening to the customers. There were tons of problem bugs that were identified around release that were never fixed. I've come to the conclusion that you've got to be living in some kind of bizarro alternate reality that only connects to ours through nfohump.

Here you control a city's public transportation.

I am pretty sure I did that in both OpenTTD and A-Train 9..

Yeah, they released patches for the first one too.. the problem was they just didn't listen fans. People complained about broken traffic and other bugs from the day it was released, and they just went and tackled a couple of obvious/easy things and just said screw you on the rest.

Possible. Btw a very complicated and abstract way just to say: I disagree Very Happy

Like I said, I played the first one only a couple of hours but the devs made a honest impression so I believe them for finishing the second part like they did for the first one. We´ll see. Unfinished features or lasting bugs are ok if they are not destroying the hole game experience AND are not such excessive like in Simcity V. Day 0 Patches are a common thing these days because of deadlines. I don´t say I like it but I can live with it, compared to DRM and Cloudplaying and shit.

The biggest issue for me right now that I have with the game is that you can't place stops at the middle of the road. Sometimes you can't build on the outer side of the road because of directions that a road is forced to take, making it impossible to construct something decent.

As time passes it just becomes more apparent that you have no idea what you're talking about.
Traffic was a game destroying bug in the first game and they did nothing to fix it. they did try to "reduce" it, but they didn't actually fix the overall broken AI behaviour, which was cars lining up for miles rather than using open lanes or stuff like that.

They never finished the first game, so your claim makes no sense. You go from stating that they will take care of things like they did in the first, to you only played the game a couple hours and got an impression, if you think back, it might have just been gas, had you been drinking any fizzy drinks before starting up those couple of hours?

I fully bought into the first, I participated in the forums, gave feedback, screenshots, debated stuff, but by the end of it it was clear the Devs weren't interested in fixing anything "hard". They'd made the product, they'd gotten their cash, and only basic stuff was getting fixed. There were all kinds of threads and discussions about various bugs with lots of people asking for them to be fixed and it just never coming. I gave that game all the rope it deserved and bought most of the DLC because I wanted to like it just that much. Not this time.

You have to keep in mind that they are a relatively small company that cannot afford anything expensive like a major overhaul. That said, do you see this happening at any other company except for Valve/Blizzard? I certainly don't.

Don't worry dual station metro will come as DLC for a little friendly cost like the first game. Wink

But hey, as they are not EA this is definitely not a problem, isn't it ? Laughing

I have no problems putting my stops in the middle of the road. Maybe its wise to check what road you plan to build before you start building?

Also with one direction roads... they also excist in real life you know. Otherwise just bulldoze them and build a normal road back. You know you can build roads right?

But yeah, this game has some flaws and in my eyes far from complete.

I mean like this:

Where |X| is a paved 'middenberm' (you know what I'm talking about). I have no idea how to place a bus stop there? I prefer not to change the roads, but yes, I know it's possible Smile
