Same here, but I don't rely on the R analog as it's very iffy for precise cuts. And the X and Y axes being mapped to the corresponding buttons worked fine so far.
Anyway, I mastered the way of the R analog so it is done! One dead super-scion-senator and he won't be back.
Had get close to my tv as well, as you ca barely see the cut line in those sequences.
Talk about mastering the ways... now to look for more sexy posters.

you can swap the sticks, then right analog is for camera movement (like usually in the game), and left analog for slicing.
awesome game, normal and hard difficulties are both a walk in the park, but very hard... oh man
while the difference between normal and hard is simply enemies doing much more damage, you doing less and zandatsu being a bit more difficult to pull off;
on very hard every mob either has twice as many enemies as on the other difficulties, or a few end-game enemies thrown into the mix - all of them being extremely aggressive while your window for counter attack is much much smaller.
oh and, the weakest attacks drain ca. 30% of your health, zandatsu is nerfed alot, and overall simply surviving the first chapter is a helluva challenge
<3 freddiew, dunno where he gets all the money for the cgi in his videos
Youtube Money, and alot of it. He's a millionaire and it's all from youtube. Google Adsense, the amount of views he gets on his videos is what made him rich, the dude has so much money from making vids it's crazy. He makes more money then doctors, lawyers you name it.
It also says at the end of the video that it was sponsored.
Probably all of these videos about very recent games are sponsored. Just think of AC3, basically every major Youtube channel had some videos about it (Epicmealtime, Corridor Digital, also freddiew I think). Can't be a coincidence.

Can someone confirm if this DLC can be played directly, or does it need a full campaign completion save of Raiden?
I had completed it on the PS3 and deleted the game. Not in a mood to download 20 fucking Gigabytes again, so will grab the 360 copy.
This DLC doesn't requies Rising save. When you go to new game you can select between Raiden campaign and DLC chapter.
It's quite short (maximum 2 hours) and a lot of stuff from main game is re-used (environments, enemies, bosses). Thankfully it's as fun to play as ever. Sam has it's own moveset, bosses are a lot more aggressive than main game (played on Hard). You can taunt the enemies and they go in ripper mode. It's recommended only for the fans of main game.
Thanks Patton. I assumed it would probably have some upgrades from Raiden's play-through to be carried over, but since this is a new character, I should have expected a fresh start.
Upgrades are hidden, similar to Raiden's story. Also you can find 5 VR missions, which are worth playing, because they are actually ranked battles now and rewards you with upgrade after completion.
No new game + for Sam chapter. As one of my friends say - Sam's story is Hard mode in this game, no training wheels here!
Question along for those who have played Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots on a CFW based PS3. Has the ACT 4 crash issue been addressed since the 3.41 days? I mean I remember reading about people swapping save files to bypass that issue. Should it work fine on Rogero's 4.40 CFW without any shenanigans?
DLC 1: VR Missions - 5/10 - has dwarf gekko, rehashing situations and locations from the main game now in yellow, and it has some new-new missions.
DLC2: Jetstream Sam - 5/10 - doesn't add anything worthwhile, full of backtracking and rehashing. A major letdown, I expected it to be something like the main story, like Doud's DLC for Dishonred as an example, but instead got something that could fit the "Snake Tales" formula of MGS2: Substance. Beat it in 3 hours (2h 30min stats screen), going very slowly, checking everything out.
DLC 3: Blade Wolf - 5/10 - more interesting but this one is extremely short, not a single new location. Beat it in a little over an hour going slowly (47min stats screen). Apparently someone did a 7 minute speedrun...
Overal DLC impression - totally skippable. I can't even call it fanservice despite 10 minutes of screen-time for Mistral's ass and legs.
I still very much love the main game.
Just started playing Revengeance. Pretty awesome so far.
Some of the UG enemies are goddamn tough and I wish there was a dodging feature similar to Ninja Gaiden or God of War.
Im kinda addicted to the conversations which are to be had when speaking to Boris, Kevin, Courtney, Dok and the UG Wolf. Theres a surprising amount of dialogue but I guess it means its optional and not forced upon you in cutscenes that last an hour at a time!
