Long story short, banged a chick for a while when I was single, all of a sudden I get calls from her again, insisting we meet. I mean, yeah, sure, why not, let's bury the hatchet we dug up on account of you fuckin' half the Old Center (Bucharest's club...hub?). So, we meet. Accompanying her there's this...I dunno, guy, a gypsy, to be precise, staring me up and down like I was a white guy driving a minivan which took a wrong turn in the ghetto (while we were in a quite select cafe). Whatever, I sit down, she sits down, guy goes to the bar and gets 100ml of vodka, me and the girl order a coffee since it's 12 in the afternoon. Little chit and chat, more so from her asking me how I've been and then comes the bomb. Apparently, she wanted to meet with me to tell me how she just got engaged to this...guy. I'm like wow, yeah, sure, congrats, the guy was stoic as fuck, and then he tells her to show me the ring, and it was an amethyst ring. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't swim in money, or have money to buy a ring, but goddamn, son, that ring costed what, 10 euros? Damn. I somehow started laughing without control and I had to go to the restroom because tears were coming out of my eyes.
I know, it's a shitty, REALLY shitty story, but if you love the girl you're together with and sport an iPhone 4S and Chuck Taylors you SHOULD afford a better ring. Damn.
Why am I still laughing? I'm a horrible person.

I honestly feel like shit, but I have the urge and impulse to laugh every time I remember it.

Silver, probably. I think. Didn't look like it, took a closer look and it was scratched. Fine scratches, I mean, silver doesn't scratch like that. And it was new as well.

I was bored, I guess. And the prospect of motorboating her again proved to be irresistible. I didn't know she would bring that dude. Had a laugh out of it. Even the missus thought it funny.

That did cross my mind but she's not really rubbing it in my face. I have become so accustomed to Romanian idiocy and ignorance, every time I see a case of the stupids such as this, I either scroll over it or if its not on an Internet page, I laugh real stupid like and leave.

Well, I was pretty much double the size of the guy. Obviously he threw me some bad looks and shit but other than that, nothing.
