Oblivion - 6/10

A console game, basically. Pretty graphics and a story that attempts to be oh so groundbreaking (for games), but ultimately hollow.

Sherlock Holmes

7/10

Good movie, but Robert Downey as Sherlock is a little strange to me, I couldn't fucking understand him during half the movie...sheesh. Either way, fun movie, going to watch game of shadow today Smile

Looks nice, but that's about it. Highly derivative of a bunch of other, much better movies and seemingly lacking any original ideas of its own. Nothing special.

read up on the distracted driving laws and see how all emergency personal are exempt! one of our training sessions was to drive and dodge stuff while using our laptop . Just to get a hang of it.. Phone is so much easier.. . So based on our training and usual need to be on the phone with dispatch/supervisor/caller we are all exempt.

What? I would suspect you are exempt if it involves work not if you wanna jerk off to pron at a red light.

Apart from that, the movie was certainly ok, but too predictable (like everyone says).

6.5/10

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

I'd say all the 'non excistent' technology makes it enough sci-fi Wink

That being said I wouldn't rate it highly as a sci-fi movie, just an entertaining one to kill time Smile

I was referring to the philosophical and moral decisions the writer/director/whatever made in this film. I'm not oblivious to what I see on the screen Smile

21 Jump Street - 6/10

My first movie with Tatum and yeah I can see that his acting is not natural but thankfully it was not very distracting.

The problem with the movie is that it tries way too hard to make you laugh, they throw 10 jokes per minute at you and not all of them are funny anyway.. Had the script been balanced for pacing I would have rated the movie a bit higher. On the other hand there ARE some moments that made me LOL, especially during the last half hour, which is the reason my rating ended up at 6 from the initial 5.5

Still I really cannot understand why critics loved the movie as much as they did.. (85% RT)

TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
