Probably its not the crack, its the game itself.

Fan? Are you talking about my profile? It sounds like you are talking about BF3 platoon, as I don't recall you could fan a single player/account.

Given the comments in that thread and my personal experience with that setting on W7, it's all a placebo effect.

What's with the texture degradiation on Hainan Resort? I play with High etc and when Hainan loads, everything ground-related looks like Medium at max.

Sidenote - I grinded half of the day yesterday to get positive K/D ratio. Seems harder somehow than BF3. Maybe because the starting gear feels a bit downsided.

I've had it disabled since BF3 (some network tweaker), it changes the feel and makes you die faster, if I remember correctly Smile Hit 20 there now, just for a change. Anyways anything is better than the default 10, but you will have to adjust your aim, so might not be worth it if you have had it on 10 and do great (like Aeon Razz).

And like said on thread, does absolutely nothing to instadeaths on behind cover deaths or against laggers.

Me doing great? Not really Razz
I'm still struggling in Rush to get proper matches, because it usually goes like >Spawn>Die>Spawn>Die Smile TDM on the other hand is pretty easy now, because you can be a lone wolf.

Hit detection/notification is okay now, but still not on par with Battlefield 3.

Now with that setting on 20 hit detection markes come delayed, opposed to it being disabled and instant. Thought I missed chopper with tank but second later vehicle destroyed. Well maybe it was just the server, but going to increase it, as I don't rememer seeing that before.

Hit detection has been fine for me in BF3/BF4, it's like 1/10 of enemies that don't die opposed to me dying instantly, so not an issue Smile

edit: 40 is good for that setting, if you are going to tweak it make it so. Or just disable it if you rarely die instantly for smooth experience.

There is still something "off" about the shooting in this game:

- a very subtle micro-stuttering
- hitreg being random off and not registering "accurate"(?) based on personal visual input (headshots not counting etc.)
- hitting an opponent 3-5-7 times and dying from (apparently) his first or second bullet
- bullets going "through" an opponent and not registering at ALL the hit
- something very weird with DMR weapons, as it takes forever to kill someone (needs 5-7 hits - that APPEAR registered in the hitbox - the crosshair notifies)

No idea what might be. But I bet it's 99% on the DICE side. BF3 is absolutely smooth, my K/D ratio is 2 and my "personal" skill is way, WAY above the one in BF4.

All this randomized performance that is dependent on clearly present issues made me considering to give up this game and either play BF3 or returning and giving PS2 a second chance.

doesn't surprise me about the headshot issue i had that with bad company 2 and at the start of bf3 they remedied it mostly with a patch

The thing is the hitbox is clientside so lag does affect it (atleast did in bf3 can't comment on bf4 i'm a bit on the fence about buying too much great stuff coming out lately)

I think 30 is the best (in my experience at least), lowering results in me dying too often and upping results in not a single hit was registered Laughing

Yeah, might very well be. I just went with doubling it (compared to stock value) as I didn't like 20. Hit registration was fine for me even with it disabled and can't go higher than that Razz

Now if only DICE can sort the rest out, want to be able to use shotgun again! Currently best weapon is anything with high firerate as you have no idea where enemy actually is in timespace, so at least some bullets might hit. With shotgun all I get is one shot out before death and it doesn't cut it with state of the game. Then there are the lucky ones that can fire even 5 shots with shotgun (me shooting at them) and go for 40-5 rounds, obviously they are not affected by this bug.

I want to work on unlocking these new weapons for the upcoming China DLC, but I don't think I'm skilled enough nor have the patience to get through the requirements.

The crashing, and sound bug aren't helping either. Call me when fixed pls Sad
