That's really a fantastic game, a litlle precious gem.
In some strange way, it reminded me some 90es adventures, when there were games was imaginative and had novelty.
Of course it takes a equivalent mind to admire games like this.
GOTY material for me.
no understandable dialogues but you can learn more about the brothers by interacting with other characters
my fav moment so far is when the older brother tries to ask some dude about directions to the flower/medicine thing and that dude dosent want to listen, then you try with the younger brother and he slaps hes butt, or when another dude didnt want to lower the bridge so when interacting with the younger brother, he throws a bucket full of water over him
Completed this yesterday, i actually played this in 2 player coop with keyboard, me controlling one brother and my sister the other one, and i must say this game is a masterpiece, much better than most of the games that get released these days, such a strong experience on this one, iam really glad i played the whole thing in one go, makes it so much more special, i recommend this to everyone really.
What a super little game this turned out to be. Despite being very linear, it's beautifully crafted, with an immersive atmosphere, great storyline, wonderful graphics, although the puzzles aren't difficult, but it's certainly emotional, and has the feeling of an epic adventure. An excellent game imo.
So i'm giving this game a try, but can't seem to force AA.
I saw you reply on guru3d on the screenshots in the nvidia aa topic JB.
Any idea what setting i overlooked here?
Spoiler:

I'll have to look at that topic again because I don't remember mentioning any AA compatibility flags, it's a UE3 game however so there should be some options.
Seems that the profile "Brothers" was meant for this game (fucking lazy to type out the name properly over at nvidia..), so i created this one before i found out, but forgot to assign exe (first time using this tool ). Then after i tried to assign, it said the other profile has it already..
Anyway, these options are waaaaaaaaay overkill for me anyway, 12 fps on menu xD

Yeah SSAA in general tends to be very demanding even in less demanding games, even low amounts can cripple performance.
(Which is unfortunate because it provides excellent results but the FPS hit is often very high even on newer hardware.)
You could try a lower amount, maybe disable transparency AA but brute forcing any form of AA will usually result in a noticeable performance impact for games that do not support it themselves.
UE3 is also using that deferred rendering technique and this game uses DX9 so forcing AA will be costly unless it's shader based such as FXAA, MLAA or SMAA.
(But those do incur a slight blurring effect over the entire screen.)
Finished this game today and put this together, now I will warn you, there are massive SPOILERS in this video, so you have been warned. Also, my editing is not fantastic, but thought I would leave this here for you to have a gander at video in spoiler

you are using some insane rez? on a single gtx 660 i played wih 4xsgssaa enabled on 1680x1050 and there were no slowdowns. I used the profile mentioned by Jbeckman.
nice vid Mr.Benzedrine, very emo, but fitting for this game

Yeah thats what I wanted to go for, as vary rare does a game hit home, but this one did. Such a great little game and looks great too.
At the beginning of the game, when you have to move Father to Doctor's hut, there is a staircase right before the first elevator and it leads to this:
Since young brother can't swim and I can't figure out how older brother can support him in the water I assume you are supposed to come back here later?
UPD: nvm, apparently you have to "unlock" this ability first and big one can hold little brother on is back but for some reason not there. Weird.
I love the little touches in this, like those black rabbits that wouldn't play with the white one (racist bastards ) so you go and dunk the white rabbit in soot and he can finally play, all happy and jumping with joy
that dude you save from suicide and little turtles that can't get to their mother. It felt like originally these events meant something more, perhaps it was some kind of Karma condition that would let you affect the ending in some way but I guess at some point of the development process it was decided to change it but all the events are there for atmosphere.
Finally finished the game as well. I thought it would be a bit longer but damn, that was a fine experience. The gameplay was simplistic and not that challenging, though the unique control system and the ethereal art-style/music combo were really spot-on. The attention to details was also quite amazing.
Decided to give this a go since everyone has been praising it, and i was not disappointed, atmosphere was awesome and the music is very beautiful, and off course i had to stop myself from tearing up with the ending
funny that the made up language the characters speak sound very similar to my native one with some words taken directly from it.
To hell with it, I bought. Just beat the troll and I started the night level where to have to shoo away the wolves.
Looking really good so far. Nice puzzles, gfx are amazing (even more considering it´s an indie), and ambient music hits the nail. Controls can be a bit confusing with keyboard, havent tried with a gamepad -not sure if i´ll do. Too bad i´m not with a friend right now, it´s the perfect game to play with someone.

It is one of ABSOLUTELY MEGA-RARE games that actually justify the "Controller is required to play" label. In fact, it is a mandatory for the game, because it is highly tied not just with gameplay but with narrative as well.
Just beat the game, had no issues playing it with the keyboard. What did you mean by "being mandatory" to use a gamepad?
As regards the ending:
Spoiler:
It´s so fucking sad, i thought the older brother would revive or something. Amazing game nonetheless. 9/10
i had to use a controller actually, the part where the 2 brothers have to rotate a wheel at the same time was impossible to do on a keyboard cuz of the circular motion
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
