If it wasn't for him, we would still be playing this! *neverforget*
It's comforting that he's positive about the PC version, although the lighting drama will always be there, hanging like a guillotine

They really should hire him as a consultant on what the western PC market expects from PC games. DSFix offered a lot of options that even good ports don't have. He was able to do them timely.

What he said!
What's wrong with that?
As long as
1) it is not mandatory
&
2)there is a girl on girl action
I'm OK with that.
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

Still, the textures and over all feeling of the game feel rather unpolished.

Yep I agree, it's ok-ish, but far from impressive/optimal. It kinda looks like the HD textures were just copy-pasted with no accuracy at all. But then again, that's what you get when you have no lighting effects anymore!

Well this series has never been about graphics, it's sub-par even on consoles. I played it on x360 and it actually looked worse than DS1 in my opinion (the lighting in particular). But in the end what counts in souls games is the gameplay.

yep and luckily the gameplay is as great as in dks1, all i expected from the pc version was a high resolution and 60 fps, i am happy with that.
after all you cant really expect more from ports nowadays.

I only watched one network-test video, a short pewdie video, and lots of screenshots of course... before yesterday.
It seems to me that DS2 is more similar to Demon's Souls than to Dark Souls.
Majula == Nexus
Maiden == Maiden
...
Maybe it's just my perception so far... |
its like a good mix, main hub and maiden like in demons souls, interconnected areas like in dark souls, works well imo.

The camera is rotated, it could be that the rock was just behind the ps3 player.

Huh? I don't see it. It's just a slightly different angle.
