@dsergei But that is what I said, this is not a game that requires that type of controls, while the genres you mentioned are. And if you read my other posts, I said that controls are terrible even on gamepads. So I am not sure what you mean in your post, we are in agreement it seems.

How do the pros at this game use lock on for dealing with enemies or bosses, are all strategies based on cylindrical dodging?

Could someone tell me why I should go trough the bellfry tower sol (on iron keep) and ring the bell?! Seemed kinda pointless, at the end I was again at the area where you spawn on the bellfry bonfire. No boss or something? I already killed old iron king before and smelter on 3rd try

There's an illusory wall with 2 chest just before the drop back to Iron Keep/next to the Bellfry bonfire. And you can sometimes meet a certain dark phantom (NPC) on top, with a very small chance to drop a nice katana.

what are the essentials for playing this on PC?
or god forbid i could just start the game and expect it to run well (resolution, m/kb controls, yada yada...)

Just did the parry/ballista move on the pursuer in NG+,he takes a lot less damage from the ballista now..he's by far the easiest enemy to parry in the game every time he does his charge you can parry him without really timing it.

With a high stability shield and enough poise the smelter is quite easy. I just blocked all his attacked and dodged his fire swings, as two-three hits of it are enough to kill one. It's just crucial to dodge the very last moment and you are good to go Also take a bit more time instead of trying to rush multiple hits.
(oh yeah and I went in with 3 people on the last try, but he could've been done easily alone  )

yea most bosses have more hp the more people join and some also deal more damage.

Sure, I could agree DS1 is still better than this one, but this is certainly a deserving and memorable sequel, and my GOTY so far (which will be very hard to top in the remaining 8 months in this year).
We can't make a game that works properly with proper controls, so we'll make the challenge of the game to be fighting the control and "working around the limitations"! (
