Thanks for your advice!
Do you have a number where I can call between 10-14h and ask about it?
And what didn`t I become? A stupid post?
How is this possible?
Did they invent the transformer? Where can I buy it?
Would be enough - I could tranfsform all the waste on my table into beer - there would be no more need for a teleporter...

man I've been havin proper trippy thoughts about time travel and teleportation and such. Well it's a bit geekish and I aint into space or owt but they say space is expanding all the time. And the earth is moving so I just figured when travelling back through time would you return to the same spot 'in the universe' if it was possible? how would u define where earth is since no1 knows either? tis pretty stoner talk theory but its possible and as for teleportation that's different because u can easily say point a to point b at an exact moment in time therefore the distance between both points wont be any different in the universe context. I know it probably doesn't make sense but get high and think about it

I've had a similar conversation with a friend of mine. If there ever WAS time travel, it would be plotted on a grid, and returning in time would return you to co-ordinated. The way to compensate for the universe expanding would be to add co-ordinates as space expands. Instead of stretching the space between co-ordinates, the addition of co-ordinates is the plausible way to plot it.

yea but where is the centre of the universe then? even with grids in 3 dimension you still need a point 0 0 0 you could say like xyz - (insert rate of universe expansion) but again it's impossible because no1 knows!

Imagine if there are teleporters. Million of jobs will be lost because of it. but I wish there were teleporters. I hate waiting in traffic.
If you hate it, ignore it.

Donnie Darko is one of my top 3 favourite movies, but its not so much about time travel as it is about parallel universes.
Sublime, as ignorant as it is, the theory is to use Earth as the centre of the universe. We are able to plot points on earth in time that way, and such much easier. Technically time travel requires a form of molecular teleportation, which is arguably impossible or possible.

Not true.
You can time travel now, except only into the future, and only by a few minutes. Special relativity people!

no time travel can put u back at the point of origin cos of the or what u do to urself and enviroment, cos then if u could time is standing still or looping, and well...looping is great religeon huh? u cant ever travel in time duh! donnie darko is a great sci-fi about wootevr, dont put so much in stuff, cos its not htere...its out THERE

er.... ignorant of what? and time travel will not be possible otherwise we'd be seeing people from the future today and in the past

Yeah, but if you think about it, there would have to be a past in which there was no time travel, or we would all be time travelling today. So maybe we're currently existing in that past, or that dimension, if you will.

well if we're in another dimension it's hardly time travel then is it? what exactly is time? how is it defined? it's just impossible to calculate really.. do you say "return to this spot on earth once it has rotated 30,000 times" ?

It would still be time travel, because you'd be travelling to a dimension which has a different perspective, and therefore a different experience, of time.

ok... well let me rephrase.. no1 will ever experience time travel on earth in this dimension.
edit:.... that is if u do believe in multiple dimensions and the rest of it

Holy fuck....I think im too stoned to follow this thread, ive read half the page like 3 times and still dont get what u guys are talking about....time travel yeah, but if u could travel to the future, would it not be possible to travel to the past?
Well, supposedly, according to Einstien, future viewing is possible.
