Read the description lol. Its mainly for escaping random encounters, other than that I found only 1 situation when I could use that skill. |
Quote: | From what i experienced, that skill only seems to come to use when you travel on the worldmap, and want to get better chances to run from that fight. |
Spoiler: | I found you can use it in the Ag Center to free people strung up by the plants. |

tried 123456789, PREFERED and CODE, none of that worked, is there any other npc who mentiones some other possibility?

Spoiler: | It's Rosebud. Apparently you do not obtain it at all - it's just an easter egg for those who played original Wasteland. |
...so I'd look for a tunnel and Goat Hill instead.

i heard you get the tracks for that damaged robot in front of the prison there but the discobot & the two killers didn`t drop it |

I *think* that particular drop was removed from random loot tables.

So I ran into the Scorpitron which is the little scorpion-looking bot on the main screen, it was a bit of a let down. The fights against the CoC or the church are harder.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

Why choose one when you can have both?

Is there any way to escape from battle? In the Highpool tunnels when I was done with the mission I was like fuck this I am going home and near the room where I was I encountered a bunch of cockroaches but I decided just to run away because there was no point to fight them and I had to move my characters turn per turn because the combat never ended even if the enemies were out of the screen. I finished this part long time ago but I want to know if I decide to skip some battle in the future.
In Fallout it was nice that you can just run off, but here its damn annoying to move slow as turtle until you reach the travel icon.

Oh, I guess you tried the 'end turn' button rather than use all AP for each character all over again ?
The game should definitely hop out of combat if there are no more enemy nearby, did they missed that ?

I tried everything - end turn, all characters finished their turn multiple times, the battle never ends no matter that the enemy is not even visible (the game is not showing their turn since its out of the screen).

No, there's no manual escape/exit from combat. Which proved a real pisser when one map bugged out and I was locked in combat with 3 guys spread across the entire map, which I had to traverse in turn-based mode to hunt them down individually. Took about an hour. Good times.

They focused on substance over style. The game is absoloutely massive content wise.

Fuck me, Demonta's last two fights were HARD. I had to lower the difficulty to Normal but on the other hand I was doing it with only 4 people. Now, onto the Prison to deal with that fucker...

66 hours down and done, I can say FOR SURE I missed a lot of stuff, there were so many things I missed because I didn't have a skill level 10 safe cracker/lock picker/alarm disarmer/etc. - without spoiling there are definitely fifty or so different endings given what you do and hinting at it with the final texts, so many things went wrong in my calling the shots and there definitely were consequences for doing so.
There also was a hint toward a Wasteland 3 happening in the last hours of the game.

So you want form over function then? That's everything wrong with the AAA game industry, and the antithesis of what these Kickstarter RPGs are about.

If you're talking about the computer, I think it was just a reference to the first game which also had a computer that said "The screen says Wasteland 2. You shiver with anticipation".

Come on... this guy is right.
Models are ugly. Animations are ugly too. I never put GFX over content in RPG. But still... few ugly portraits, characters models are like 1999. I don't need 8k textures and DX 19 features. But Fallout 1 really did it better, becouse there I could better feel my character and play role. Here when I was creating my char after a while I went: whatever they are all ugly.

Obviously hes right, anyway game looks good enough with that sweet fx preset, enough to not annoy me with its visuals. And the fact that you cant see armor sux, there are just few of them, wtf fargo, wtf. Starting clothes option also suck ass, some good shit is only avaliable on female characters while you can make male char look like dragqueen, meh. That said, gameplay is the best thing since fallout 2 so I can easily turn a blind eye here and there, tho some locations could be designed better (not in terms of visual but in terms of pure design - object/mob placements and so on).
Another question - how can I make Rick my team member? Just took radiation suits from his place and as for now only option avaliable is to either run around with him or return him to prison. Is he avaliable later or what?
