It's because of the graphics settings. Whole game looks better on higher settings.

I somehow tied the fact that the game sometimes lowers the quality if setting things above automatic.

I have things set mostly to medium but somehow this game totally rapes my 650ti boost, I mean its the first game I see using 95%-99% of it with temps I also never seen, even in cutscenes. I know most here have way more powerful gpus but how is your usage and temps in this game ?

Maximum settings on a 780 and it was 70-85% usage. Temps are good because of my fan profile, but yeah.. high utilisation. This was everything as high as it could except SSAA though - if I set 2x SSAA then it's 85-99% grinhurt

How is your fps though, i have a 260x paired with a q9400 and it runs like dog shit, i'm assuming it's a bottleneck by the CPU cuz my gpu usage fluctuates a lot.

My fps is not that great, average probably around 50 but there is a lot of strange drops. Overall not happy with how it runs

can someone who's not a fucking idiot/troll (go back to alphafield 4) help me?

On some maps in the start my fps goes from 100 down to 40-20ish Confused Mad

I have the required options to OFF to not make the game look like something from 1999 (textures). I've asked during ingame and some people with similar specs have the same issues. Others claims they have constant 100fps.

specs

i5 3570k 4.5Ghz
7950 OC
16GB ram
SSD (yes it's on my ssd)

Thanks

@nforules same here. Same with other people to as far as I've heard. Don't know about their specs though.

Some maps that drop at the start - Defece and that Volcano map.

Yes, most maps drop at the start unless you check the preload shaders options. After the usual disk accesses, then it's all in RAM and it's smooth.

And yes some maps will drop to 50-45 fps for no reason when looking at bushes or certain parts of the maps that aren't even GPU intensive... but that's the way it is. Overall the game is still running at 60ps in 1440p, so can't complain.

Thanks for confirming i'm not the only one. I did check preload shaders, but oh my does it take time, you also loose valuable gametime. That options also gives me microstuttering during the game.

Widescreenfixer program has now fix for the SP aspect ratio (dopefish made it), using also the cheat engine FOV fix, works great :> Finally can continue this.

A friend of mine that plays the game on SSD has the same stutter as I do on 7200 rpm so... Sadly that an optimization issue since it doesn't happen on consoles.

Can anyone confirm how do you eliminate cut-scene stuttering and lip sync issues?

I remember this had happened with Ghosts as well. The game runs flawlessly though. Sometimes the cut-scenes work fine and other times it doesn't.

Disable shader preload and preloading during cutscene to get rid of the stuttering, but it's gonna make your loading time longer and possibly induce more stuttering during gameplay.
