Apparently lol. Nothing I've seen so I'm unsure if I'm missing something in the install to get them to work.

Does anyone see any reason as to why my video card could be hooked up incorrectly?

Have you tried enabling it using Zotac's Firestorm utility?
(I read in some reviews that there are LED options)

Well, if the LED's are not working, you also lose 24fps across most games.

You're right, when I start my PC the light on the card is red.

No, I don't believe it is working.
It seems as if I am supposed to be able to change the colours and their patterns but no lights are working at all on the card itself.
I could careless about the lights but what concerns me is the possibility of the card being hooked up incorrectly.

That's how I knew the LED's are on the card.

you canot plug power connectors wrong. unless you are forcing them.
constantly ?
well, leaving led's aside, card works or not ?
anyway, i would test it with another psu, and if is still not working, i would returnit. if it works fine led's aside, i would be on the edge, but i will probably return it anway. if i pay that much, i want it to be top shape. and i would not buy zotac .

If you're bothered by it: return it, it might just be the led not working.
Personally I'd always turn it off, but it should work.
Can't do much wrong with GPU installments so you most likely haven't done anything wrong.

Card works beautifully, no issues there. It's the missing lights that I'm worried about.
I went from ATI; sapphire 4870 (crashed) to diamond 6870 which I just sent in for an RMA.
I decided to try nvidia and saw 980 GTX Zotac so decided to try it out.
My games no longer crash after 10 minutes which was my main goal in buying this card.
Regardless, I'm using my 6870's pci wires so as long as they don't cause harm, I am happy.

Ok the cables, fucking linguistic games.
Jealously, so high school.
The card's LED illuminates red when I start up however I haven't had any other issues.
This is my first nvidia card and I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any connection.

It could be that you need to rig a bypass circuit?, as the centrifugal latitude from the led's may be keeping the draw from the power source at bay.
I'd open a Facebook account, right away.
