Yup, I can definitely attest to the wonderful feeling of speed!
I've gone from 512k -> 1Mb -> 8mb -> 20mb -> 80mb over the course of about 15 years.
Enjoy

I was at 56k -> 4Mb (data package 1Gb)-> 1Mb (flat) -> 10Mb (flat)
And when I move out I'll move somewhere in the city (I'm on the outskirts kinda atm), and the speeds are better there, so it can only get better
Damn, I remember downloading only 700MB movies, because that took several hours... awful times

everyone else's modems were going 3.1-3.2kb/s and I was the master of the neighborhood

you said your upload connection is 35mbps, bur you can upload at 3.6MB.
to me, that sounded like you expected to upload 35MB.

Nice NFOAC, that's not a bad speed at all for India; wish I had it

Nice.
Now only Fable and Ixi left in the dark ages(that I know of).
I'll personally lay the cable to your house Flabby if it means you'll be able to play BF4 for 5 consecutive seconds without getting kicked. |
My internet has been shitty the past couple of days actually. youtube is impossible right now.
It seems like i'm losing connection quality over the years, not gaining it. |
Haha yup, it's because the infrastructures are still the same as ~10 years ago, so it's inevitable that they progressively degrade till the point that they don't work anymore (we both experienced that xD). I was forced to change the contract but the same old lines are used, so big improvements can't be seen. Went from 3.8Mb/s to a potential 4.8, but somehow the ping has gotten much worse!

I also perceived that part of hawkeye's post as his transition from a 10Mb connection to a current 40Mb one with a midpoint in 25Mb. I thought it was pretty clear and unambiguous.
