It's kinda strange for me, core 1 on my CPU is at constant 99% while the rest don't go above 40% and GPU usage stays somewhere around 45-55%. So this game definitely has issues for me but the game is 'playable' if you want to put it that way.
after using CPU Control to make game use all 4 cores i can play this on low 1400x900 without any problem
Uhm... Please, elaborate - using all of my 6 cores instead of just one would probably help.
without cpu ocntrol game uses 1 core 90+% while remaining cores are at 40-50%, after using this utility all core usage is same and on ~90% and game is running much better now, which is a blessing considering how old my pc is
If you mean this then all it seems to do is just set a cpu affinity to each core (which I'm sure you can do by bringing up the task manager and doing it yourself).
If that's not the proggy then please do share. ^_^

Yeah, I know the deal with unequal core usage (happens on my rig as well). I just didn't know that gizmo you mentioned. But hey, if it just sets the core affinity, then you might as well do it manually
Can anyone comment on invasions? and how public coop works in general?
Wondering if there's any benefit to playing the game now as opposed to waiting till they patch the game.
What are your questions?
Public coop i only had a positive experience so far with people.
But the invasions i had to disable for now, as they happened three times in a row in the beginning. But that could be because so many players started the game and had the same progress
And after some main missions the guns are nowhere near as rare as i hoped them to be
You encounter many armed enemies, and every one of them drops their nice assault rifles

Invasions are similar to dark souls but it gives the players the objective of either destroying a few zombie lairs or killing the survivors multiple times. You can set them to happen at night, anytime or never. Kinda fun but gets annoying after a few in a row so I've turned it of for now.
Coop is drop in/drop out and syncs everything if you are on the same part of the same mission. 4 players max, netcode seemed fine.
edit; Performance in this game is weird. Last night I was lucky to get a stable 30+ and now I can hold 60 unless I look out across the whole map. Very weird since I did nothing with my setup. (maybe the power surge that reset all my shit power'd up my rig )

sigh.. so many apps.. flawless widescreen for some games, borderless app for others, msi afterburner for monitoring and frame limiting, auto hotkey, ds3 xbox emulator, sweetfx, and now cpu control added to the mix. life as a pc gammer xD
Yay! 900p/Medium Textures(no Low option at all)/Medium Foliage(it doesn't make any difference if it is set to Low..)/Low Shadows/Distance slider at 0/Everything else off -> Cinematic 24fps (Sometimes I have ultra consolematic 30fps)
I know my system doesn't even meet the minimum requirements of the game but I have a strong feeling that is a bad port as most of the graphic options have little to no impact on fps. Except Distance slider ofc.
I guess I will be able to have nearly stable 30fps if I set the resolution to 720p...
so if affinity is already set for all cores what does cpu control do ? I dont get it
No idea to be honest.
I did try just now to set all cores but one in task manager and it seems to be working.
I don't have one core going crazy anymore but the GPU is still not going over 50%.
Edit:
Nevermind, it's above 50% usage now so that's better. ^_^

Only with two GTX 980 I was able to "reach" 60fps at 1080p and 1440p, slowdowns and stuttering is still awful. At 4k is pretty much unplayable. CPU and GPU usage is pretty low on all resolutions.
