Sure but that is untrue. Eyes(brain) don't do the motion blur thingie on a computer screen cause it's not moving... if You are viewing a video with super high shutter speed or video game with no motion blur, brain will not blend those frames together... the game just looks weird and stuttery if framerate isnt high enough to make for motion blur blending. Watch the video I've posted above... this dude really can explain thing as opposed to me Laughing

Anwyay. I recommend ssao off or enable hbao. SSAO here, gives this horrible halo effect around characters in some situations. It's far cry 3 all over again

I didn't read all the pages.. there is too much shit to go through.

So I had the inventory crashes too with that awesome new driver NVidia released. I also saw that it actually stole some frames while not giving the slightest bonus to the visuals.

After I reverted back to the GTA5 driver, the crashes stopped. So just to let you guys know.

WTF?!

I still can't get SSAO/HBAO+ to work on grass though (or work at all). Didn't work with the new driver either and I'm out of ideas.

Sorry for the late reply, Xxax is right. Very Happy I had disabled the minimap and various markers/indicators, but had completely overlooked the "Undiscovered POIs" one. With that disabled as well it's fully unspoiled exploration mode again (with nothing on the screen and nothing on the map - except for the quest markers and quick-travel points).

edit: IAA already answered that too Smile

yep quests were great so far even the side ones , but sometimes i have trouble to root for anyone or help anyone as everyone I help turns out to be asshole and liar.

Hahah true, though I think that unpredictability is also the beauty of it, kinda like in real life when you help someone and then out of the blue *bam*, betrayal_mode. Razz Laughing

You will auto refill with strong alcohol when you meditate. You don't have to spend those components to craft them again.

Lols. When you meditate the potions will refill. But it will cost you an alchohol item. Like alcohest, vodka or dwarven spirit.

Thanks for the answer, but its kinda weird that, ranging from 55cº to 70, the fans are always at 40%, is it normal? i bumped them to 50% during my witcher playthrought, will it reduce its life? what is a safe limit of % to the fans?

thanks in advance

That's just the default fan profile for your card, when the card really starts getting hot that's when the fans turn on and they often turn on too highly. Don't worry, you will do absolutely no harm to your card by increasing the fan speed, you'll just cool it quicker at the cost of increased noise.

mangaKat wrote:
My 670 is running at 99% @ 85c with limited 55% fan (to keep the noise down) but hey, they're good for 100c+ if I remember right Smile

They are, but Kepler cards are hardwired to throttle down the core frequencies when you go over 80C, so you may actually be running a little worse off than you could be.

.. and yes, the game is outstanding just as we hoped - and expected! Very Happy - it would be. The world design, the quests, the characters, just great. Overall I'm not massively impressed with the visuals (less so due to the insane system requirements) but the character models and facial expressions are glorious. It's simply too large though, much like Skyrim and Dragon Age Inquisition, so I'm very worried about burning out the more I play.

So far, I don't know if the open world helped this game tbh. There's loads of nothing. Looooads of it. If there were more dungeons/caves and stuff it'd be better. I'm not very far in yet but it just feels like their linear smaller areas worked better in previous games.

My thoughts exactly Sad Sometimes smaller, or more linear, worlds can be beneficial. When I see such an enormous world like this one, I actually feel overwhelmed by it.

Thanks for the insight, i guess ill keep them at 50% , gives me 60ºc at that fan speed.

I find this pretty weird. I did everything i was supposed to do in the first zone. Explored and greyed out every single question mark, but i'm still level 4 and the first main quest after that zone is level 5 and the game says i might not be high enough level and should wait. curious indeed.

I haven't played much yet, but I can already see this will be one of the best games I'll ever play. Looks great, runs great and it has very high production values. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted, an improved Witcher 2 in an open world. I actually like that the world isn't crammed with things to do, feels much more natural this way. I think this is the most alive (or whatever you want to call it) gameworld I have seen to date. Someone compared it to Gothic, this is the spiritual successor to Gothic 2 for me (though the dipshits at PB couldn't even come close to this level).

Great game, poetntially awesome

Something is wrong with the ingame cutscenes though. They are choppy and the volume is low.

Check your framerate. If your framerate momentarily dips under 30fps it's gonna have these annoying stutters/frame loss. Same thing happened to me.

Really terribly optimized. There's no excuse for having frame drops when you're at 55 fucking frames (for me).

So I've managed to get pass a locked door in the Nilfgaardian Garrison in White Orchard, there is a hidden path which requires some Aard, and reached this guy here:

He had this key on him ("Scratched Key") and it went into the quest item tab.

Anyone knows what it's for? I don't have any associated quests I think.

*EDIT* Nevermind... it's for the door I've just circumvented Laughing
