Gigantic even for PC standards, let alone console Very Happy Though it even has the shitty performance of consoles to match Troll Face

You might be onto something, although I really didn't see that much of a difference between the two Poker Face

No. I increased everything back to ultra.

The patch also defaults the game, again, to borderless window so people who had issues prior with borderless should double check that setting.

@neeger93 Thanks.

Didn't know you can craft runestones and glyphs too. Cool.

Does anyone else have this issue? Geralt sometimes switches to steel sword automatically. He refuses to use silver sword (even after drawing it during combat, he automatically sheathes in and draws steel sword). Confused

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Wow the patch after two days from release did more than most patches for other games do until the last patch. I was struggling a bit with the controls and the performance now they fixed both issues for me. This will definitely be goty!

iirc, the wraith was lv7 or 8? You're not "supposed" to be there, but you "can" be .... if you can Very Happy Let's just say, it took a while to beat it, but damned good feeling in the end.

Level 7. That was the first time I rode out of the area to go for another quest. The trail splits right there and the horse took the path to the right. Then I see a building and it says "place of power" and I'm thinking I should check this out. Then the wraith spawned next to me and in one hit it took about 75% of my health. Fuck that horse, I ran like a little bitch. Smile
Wait, I meant the witch at the well, because I was able to kill her at level 1, I think you mean another one Smile BTW which level should I have for the griffin? Fucking asshole doesn't take a bit of damage Sad

As soon as I turned level 3 is when I did the Griffin.

What are you fighting? Steel sword's meant for anything with a red HP bar, silver for silver bar.

The whole imperial audience scene was so hilarious I replayed it three times in different languages. Charles Dance was awesome as expected, but everyone else kinda falls flat compared to the Polish VA, especially Geralt's actor. Jacek Rozenek IS Geralt (even if he occasionally forgets how to pronounce Wyzima). Very Happy

If the rest of the game can match the quality of WO then this is easily a game for the hall of fame, despite all the technical issues that plague it.

Btw, still no updated FOV fix?

Performance on 1.03 the same or better. Love the blood in the water, been to the swamps it's really intense. With the merchants and fair prices mod I finally got beyond 4k crowns and bought a ton of gear (better silver sword, thank god) and crafted some for the higher levels.

One accusation ppl made about Dragon Age Inquisition DEFINITELY can't be made about this one: the MMO-style quests. Quests in the witcher are so elaborated and unique it hurts me to think the amount of man-hours needed to just write them all.

Dat patch. Very Happy It fixed my only issue with the game which is (well, was) the lack of responsiveness during combat with m/kb on my end. Took me some minutes to adapt my timing, but it feels bloody good now, definitely more satisfying than the combat system in TW2 which was more constrained and less dynamic overall.

As for the rest, there's not much to say really, I'm still having a lot of fun, the CDmen nailed it again. Razz I'm savoring every single detail, it's simply engrossing. I just entered the second area after who knows how many hours, and that was just the appetizer.

I almost feel bad when I finish an important quest or even a side-quest, the dialogues (as usual) are just great, with characters who have charisma, they're genuine and don't feel like puppets, which is exactly the opposite of what happened with DA:I, where I kept hoping the story would end as quickly as possible. Laughing But the same can be said about the Beth games as well, where the story is almost like a ..wait, is there even a story xD *repeatedly presses the select quest button*

Yeah that's one of the most common praises I see about the game. I love how nearly every side quest ends up being more than it seems and can end in multiple different ways.

I'll prolly get flak for it, but i think the story and dialog on Skyrim fking awful. And npcs pretty dull and lifeless. I only play for mods and exploration (and some loot whore spirit).
But Witcher seems to have the whole package: great combat (im loving it), charismatic npcs (and pc), well-written quests and sidequests, and so far, a good overal story arch.
I'd say i'd be torn between this and GTAV for GOTY for me. But since i've already played GTA on X360, the "wow-factor" wasn't as great as Witcher 3 is being so far.
