You can switch to the plugin method now, works great on any/all versions, tested it on 1.05 and it's fine;

http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/8/?

Also includes the console command option built in.

You get to the others when you proceed in main questline.

You generally need to make sure you stay ahead of ai in hand card count as you play. For first round you should only go for a win if you're sure you'll win with max of one card deficit, or you have means of bringing used cards back into play. Otherwise it's better to make opponent spent as many of his cards as you can, even if that means wasting couple of your special cards, higher power units, and leaders ability. As for cards, Decoy is golden, be sure to have max of them all the time in any deck. It offers plenty of combos, the obvious giving plenty of tempo by recalling already cast creature cards. Then it's perfect counter for spies, and finally it can help by bringing cards back into play by casting it on recalling creature. Next are spies, always have max of them. And then are monsters with recalling ability, the rest of the deck should be specials and some high ranked units. Oh, and make sure you don't go overboard on weather cards and Horn's. They can be useful, but you really don't need to max them. Even lower level units are often a better choice. Off course, you can strategies and learn opponents deck, and only bring weather cards that counter his main threat, but it's really not needed in most cases, even later on.

ps. Forgot the most important one. You need to play at every opportunity, and buy every available card. It is collectable card game after all.

While not part of the patch notes the update also disables the debug console and related functions such as being able to use the 'free camera' feature, we'll have to see if the modder can re-enable it again but it might be gone for good.

Have you reduced the size of the UI to "small" in the Video options?
I compared screens from before and after the patch, as I was worried about them saying they would slightly increase the UI with the patch.
I'm at "small" and my screens don't show a difference in the interface/font.

Just make sure you change the paths to where you're installed it. Something doesn't look right in that though... Use this one as I *know* it works. Just change the your\path\here parts.
