To reach the Stage 3 goal, they need to earn 19.926 usd each day for 32 days, which means it is highly probable, almost guaranteed at this point.
I couldn't care less about Stage 4, the pvp goal. I'd actually prefer even more attention and detail put into the campaign and revolving gameplay than a pvp arena/leaderboard aspect.

I so want to pledge to this camapign, but I said I'm done with Kickstarter for a while. I kinda got tired of waiting for games that are surely going to disappoint one way or another (D:OS, Pillars, etc.)

come to think of it, multiplayer would be really fun for this sort of game. Ever since mechwarrior tactics got canned there's nothing else out there for pvp robots bashing the crap out of each other. (strategy wise at least) Although I'm still more interested in the SP side of things, and I hope they reach their target for a better SP experience, but multiplayer would really extend the life of the game.

I don't understand how some of these features cost so much to be added to the game. Like the portraits for example, a 200K jump from voice acting.. surely it doesn't cost that much money just to add a bunch of pictures to the game.. or am I missing the point somewhat?.

Yes. The point is not "X feature costs Y to implement", it's simply a carrot to encourage more pledges. Ideally you want to have stretch goals that cost very little to implement, lest you find yourself overcommitted.

@DCB ah, then I guess that makes more sense.
I don't mind waiting a while longer if they manage to hit the 2.5mill goal. The more I think about it the more I would like to see PvP in the game. That's not to say I would even take this game online, but I just want too see it implemented. (if they do it good and not just basic death matches) Something objective based or coop stylee would be really neat, but I suppose that's probably asking too much already.

50k to reach the next goal. They have more thank 50k raised on paypal. 5 days ago they had 52k in one day and 25k per day for the next four days untill now. Let's see the last three day boost how it fares.

Maps in their mockup look narrow as hell. Give some room to flank maybe, maybe, MABYE?

The RPG aspect of adding skills (possibly special moves?) to Mechwarriors sounds like a nice layer of depth just beyond improving and outfitting the Mechs themselves.

ha! I thought the exact same thing yesterday.
damn I hope they don't reach it because I'm sure multiplayer is gonna cost a whole lot more than jus tthat part of the stretch goal and it'll cause other features to take a back seat.
Fuck multiplayer, I just want a really good campaign and replay value!
