I think "Dog dies in the end." is something of a meme now, although I could be wrong but it's been used for several games and probably longer still in movie and other media.

The end will involve pressing a button inside a radioactive chamber with a doggy door, but Dogmeat will let you have the honour of crawling through it.

Kind of I guess. It's a trope like any other: sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Still you never know. It's an RPG though so I hope that it won't be some extremely scripted event that you can't influence in any way. Also, if the dog is just like any other companion, it would be dumb if he pops out of nowhere to die even if you have another companion with you.

Concurrence: I absolutely agree, meatbag, HK-47 is and was a spectacular character.

How come people are playing on PC already anyway? Or is that leaked review copy footage?

Once preloading starts, I hope some dear reviewer will leak the last 5mb that's missing.
4 days, 20 hours. Haven't been this bored in a while.

The sometimes crappy textures aside, it looks so atmospheric! Can't wait man |
You should be able to adjust FOV via the debug console (Or tweaking the ini file.) too which is something at least.
(Might have to use the debug console even after tweaking the ini file to "confirm" or "set" the game to the new FOV value if it's still like in Skyrim.)
Unfortunately unlike say Crysis 1 I don't think there's separate FOV commands for the gun model as to make it a bit less obstructive in first-person view. |
I think there IS a way to adjust the weapon FOV. Fallout NV has a mod that I am currently using, that allows the player to do just that (among others).
If memory serves, Skyrim also had separate fov tweaks (world and player)? Not sure about this one though, haven't played too much of it.
You must preorder your party before venturing forth.™ • FOV Calculator • Are you mindful today? • Women: Know Your Limits!

Might been asked before, but do I have to play the other titles to understand something?

No, the only games directly related to each other were Fallout 1 and 2.
