I think "Dog dies in the end." is something of a meme now, although I could be wrong but it's been used for several games and probably longer still in movie and other media.

The end will involve pressing a button inside a radioactive chamber with a doggy door, but Dogmeat will let you have the honour of crawling through it.

Kind of I guess. It's a trope like any other: sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Still you never know. It's an RPG though so I hope that it won't be some extremely scripted event that you can't influence in any way. Also, if the dog is just like any other companion, it would be dumb if he pops out of nowhere to die even if you have another companion with you.

'twas but a jest.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

No harm done if it was, but it gets really serious for a few here when someone even mentions just a tiny story bit Wink

Ah right you can only have one active follower this time, now I remember.
(And they are sort of pokeballs in how they instantly appear and disappearing as you swap them out...)

You should be able to adjust FOV via the debug console (Or tweaking the ini file.) too which is something at least. Very Happy
(Might have to use the debug console even after tweaking the ini file to "confirm" or "set" the game to the new FOV value if it's still like in Skyrim.)

Unfortunately unlike say Crysis 1 I don't think there's separate FOV commands for the gun model as to make it a bit less obstructive in first-person view.

Yea i hope the same amount of tweaking can be done with this one as with the previous games. But probably no need to worry about it. Very Happy

I think there IS a way to adjust the weapon FOV. Fallout NV has a mod that I am currently using, that allows the player to do just that (among others).

If memory serves, Skyrim also had separate fov tweaks (world and player)? Not sure about this one though, haven't played too much of it.

Guise, does anyone knows if using console in-game disables your achievements?

I've been playing F:NV again, completed some quest's that are in achievements that I never did before and got shit. Sad All I used in a console was to set FOV. So I wonder if it will be the same in F4, then I sure won't use It Rolling Eyes

It stands to reason that if they were disabled when entering console commands in the last two games, it will happen again here.

You'd just change the FOV via INI/config files as always, no point using the console for that Smile

I do not fully remember how it was in Skyrim but I believe only the cheat commands disabled achievements but it could be that just pressing the ~ key disabled them for that session.
(Or for that savegame if you saved after toggling the console.)

No, the only games directly related to each other were Fallout 1 and 2.
