Damnit. I just cant finnish the mission "When Freedom Calls". I cleared concorde of hostiles. But nothing happens
I thought I had this problem too but it turned out there was an enemy down the street. Check your map or radar for the quest indicator and it should lead you to him.
the immersion lacks yes, so many potential wasted. zero introduction into the new world, you just come out of the vault, get a gun and kill everything (thats what i saw within 2 hours till now)
Thoughts on which gun perk yields the best result ? I feel like automatic weapons is worthless because of how it chews up ammo. Especially if you are playing on hard+.
I'm thinking rifle is the most value ? Perhaps radiation weapons once you get that available.
Anyone figured out how to assign villagers to tasks? Built some crops and a defense tower but neither seem to be working due to no one working them
Enter build mode, highlight villager, press... um... "something" it'll be a hotkey at the bottom of the screen, then walk over to the station/task you want and press.. umm.. "something" that it tells you to. They'll then take over

Open the Workshop menu (holding V). Walk to a villager/settler and aim at them. The "E" button should now let you give them a command.
First, you press E while looking at them once. Then, you walk over to the task you want them to do. When hovering over the task, the E button will now be "Assign". Pressing it will link that character to this task.
So, example:
- Open Workshop menu
- Find Villager, Aim at them, Press E
- Walk to garden.
- Aim at a plant, Press E.
Now they'll be working them.
Really disappointed with this game; subpar visuals with terrible performances (on a 980TI) and damn all terminals are freaking bugged.. one time stupid dogs gets in between and my character gets stuck, another time I cannot move after interacting. Damn such a shameful game...
Sorry for the rant.
"If everything else fails , we can always count on Hitler doing his part!" (.can't remember)
yep, saw that ingame. dont know if i mentioned it in the thread a few hours ago. nice easter egg
the bug things are strange: havent had a single bug till now (just some gfx glitches at the beginning, but the new drivers fixed that) and performance is good. seems this game acts strange to specific systems

iPresentInterval=1 change to 0
Don't know what it does exactly but it solves terminal problems.

well its Bethesda , i am surprised people are surprised that its buggy and acts like moody wife on some systems
So initially I wanted to completely avoid this game, but I was watching a stream and decided to give it a go. Playing it, it sure is a huge improvement on that joke of a game that was 3. I enjoyed it for a bit, but it still became really dull really fast. I also hate how much this took from the huge pile of shit called "survival games", dumb mechanics that just clog up the game. I don't know... Then there's also the fact that I'm kind of fed up with open world games at this point, probably just done with Bethesda's games forever, heh.
Oh, and this is the least buggy / most polished Bethesda game from what little I've played. I for one haven't run into anything unusual, let alone problems. The game also feel better to play. The performance? Well, I can't tell since my PC is shit, but it was playable, apart from freezes every now and then (memory leaks?!).

some valid points yes, but its still a nice game and most of the flaws will be removed by mods. its always the same with bethesda games: vanilla is kinda meeeh
Thanks for the help with the assignment of villagers. Wish the game was clearer on some things then again I bet the help section would have helped me out but I wasn't thinking of that until now
So...power armor right off the start Games done wrong Fallout 4
you find it in the first town yes, but without energy supply its useless?!?
You actually find the first fusion core at the scrapyard just a few metres away from the armour. I, too, was very surprised by how quickly the game threw the armour at you.. it kinda felt like it was removing the whole "something to work towards" joy you get in games like this.

I remember from Skyrim that the iPresentInterval is a tough beast to handle. Because while the uncapped game feels better, there's the problem related to the fact that most of the physics effects/interactions are tied to the framerate itself, and anything above 60 can potentially cause more glitches and odd behaviors (in my last playthrough, animals for example would just fly or bounce for no reason with the parameter set on 0). It's quite random though, so if you don't notice anything particularly weird, it's all good.
Hmm aren't you supposed to move around in workshop mode?
I just can't, I have to drop in and drop out all the time. It makes the placement of items rather hard.
Tried a bunch of things, but nada.
