Oh. My. God. Combined with the Revamp reshade pack it's so beautiful! So Much Win Most definitely the perfect version of the game now ^_^

~edit~

Wow. After seeing that, I'm suddenly really depressed Sad I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that it's just me that gets micro-freezes in heavy combat and during skill/arte activation, right? Nobody else has this? It's worse during the battle transition and when fighting Stars or Catz, as they use Artes a LOT and each time causes a momentary freeze/hitch. It hasn't been enough to disrupt my enjoyment of the game and, indeed, I just chalked it up to being a shitty port ... but after seeing that video, where it's utterly flawless in every way, smooth without a single hitch or freeze of any kind (even during the enter-battle transition, which is terrible for me) -- I'm pretty sure it's just me. Right? Sad

FML. Seriously. Just. Fuck it. Fuck it and take this piece of shit broken-ass PC with it. I've had enough of this shit.

I haven't noticed much stuttering myself but TZFix does have a number of fixes for the game, it started as a fix for the audio system (Which is still needed as the latest patch only fixed the part where 7.1 were problematic.) but it has a number of other fixes by now such as minimizing input lag, reducing stuttering, correcting the aspect ratio (Also a partial fix as to not stretch elements like the UI.) and you can also adjust FOV, scale the post-process shader from it's default of 0.5 (Half your screen res.) to full 1.0 to improve visual quality slight and more. Smile
(EDIT: Oh and you can set shadow resolution, it's a bit different but the default value of -2 means it's scaled 2x over the default or from 512x512 on Sorey and 128x128 on everyone else to 1024 on Sorey and 256x256 on everyone else.)

It hitches (I don't want to use "stutter" as that's not the right description for what's happening) with or without TZfix.

Ah that's unfortunate then, wonder what could be causing that then?
(Something with the game probably but what and will it be fixed? Not sure how the plans look for the game and any future support such as patches.)

I really don't know Sad I honestly thought it was just a "port thing" until I saw that video. 30fps, 60fps, TZfix, no TZfix, it doesn't matter... heavy combat freezes for a fraction of a second during Artes triggering - and when you first get into combat and the field transitions into fighting, it hitches several times. Kind of like loading issues, but I even installed on my SSD and it does the same thing there too :\

I really do think my system is busto.

Thanks anyway, JB! Smile

The Alisha's Story DLC is now available separately and if it existed it would probably have a rating of "Overwhelmingly Negative" since going by the reviews so far (All negative.) there's a pretty serious issue where it can overwrite your main save data and you (unlike in the console version.) will not be able to import the DLC data to NG+ both which according to the developers are "working as intended" though I guess the rating and review of the now separate DLC might make them reconsider.

There's nowhere else this really deserves to be right now and it's an article mainly concerning the 60fps mod on Zestiria and how it was possible.. so.. yeah. Anyway; Durante speaks out about the difficulties of modding and what goes into it Smile

Nah they have nothing in common but some guys who worked on it work for Denuvo now.
VMProtect is an easier form of Denuvo, they use it as a base for it.

I figured out what was causing the hitching/freezing during combat... it was ToZ Revamp, a reshade preset, most likely conflicting or at least clashing with ToZ Fix. I removed the Revamp and now the game runs perfectly, full 60 and delightfully smooth combat Smile
