On steam you are eligible for refund for 14 days from date of sale (in case of preorder I believe it's 14 days from release of preordered product) as long as you have less than 2 hours played time.

Really? The crack is not working properly. Crashes on random/different quests, places, actions... In MGSV they didn't even fix the INTRO crash... forget about cracking this shit.. we are all fuc*ed now!

If you don't get it, let me explain some of the issues with Denuvo in particular:
- I have strict firewall blocking, in order to launch a Denuvo protected game, I'd have to create a rule to explicitly allow outbound connections for the game executable in order to have game authenticated (that in itself is a proof that it's not "merely" anti-tamper tech when it requires third party authentication outside of Steam). Creating rules is fast, but it's extra work to do that I wouldn't have to do if it had SteamStub or CEG protection (where whitelisting steam.exe is more than enough)
- If you change hardware, you are required to re-authenticate. And if you change your hardware more often (or reinstall windows often), you'll be soon unable to authenticate your game (like securom or other DRM that did have only finite number of authentications). Now this is not that huge deal when games are shitty and it's unlikely you'll reinstall them more than once or twice. But it poses issue to people that benchmark games, or those that reinstall windows every month. Source - although in this case it's Origin+Denuvo, I recall same issue had benchmarking people last year with Lords of the Fallen which is Steam, but I couldn't find a link at this time.
- If the game is Denuvo protected, it's likely it will make games hard or impossible to mod. In case of Just Cause 3, it'll be unlikely to get a multiplayer mod like JC2 did.
Now if you disregard any of these issues I outlined (likely there are more that I hadn't thought of), then you are no better than those that say "It runs well for me, so it's just you". I understand majority of people don't change hardware or reinstall operating system every week or people that use firewall to strictly filter internet traffic and only allow those that truly need it. They are just minority. And for those Denuvo does pose some degree of inconvenience.
On the other hand I can live with allowing some outbound connection for game exe, but at the same time with some refund/offline mode/firewalling nonsense I can get the game for free, same as like with piracy, so one could argue having Denuvo is pointless in the first place.

@z0ne didn't had any problems with Mad Max it worked flawless for me,MGS...yeah everybody had the intro problem which isn't fixed even now as far as i know
@tolanri some of the points i wanted to point out but didn't because i was sure someone would just say im bitching and wanted to avoid that since some of us are ok with all kind of DRM and anti-tampering shit and whatever its not my place to change their pov.A quality game doesn't need denuvo and i don't need it simple as that

@tolanri Your first point is that YOU have to do something with your firewall because of Denuvo? Who am I to care about your system and what you set up there, the fuck? Not going to happen anytime soon that my hardware changes drastically, went through that already, don't reinstall often, and I remember the authentication was ONE game, so much for that. Hasn't happened anywhere else for another IIRC. Weird point once again, you know nothing about the game's protection and it's file structure, the Devs themselves said it will be up to Modders and they'll certainly make it easy for them. Who should I believe, a random forum user or Avalanche?
So no, I disregard those "issues" because most of what you said is a personal experience indeed and there's tons of people that have the opposite of what you do, that's not "it's just you" but if it makes you feel better, then so be it. But it surely makes sense people ask about the protection days before release, which will be known ON release RIN all over. That's all I said, but nice to know you think I defend the protection, fight the good fight!
@banish loool imply something totally wrong some more dude. Who said it's needed, point me to it? You ask things nobody knows about yet, what did you expect?

@harry_theone i didn't say you said that. You just feel ok with it and it's fine by me.That was just my personal pov as a consumer that Denuvo is not needed

I just think it's mostly a waste of time and resources. Pricing has far more effect on piracy than these kind of silly protections these days.
Btw, Hairy stop being so damn confrontational everywhere. It only annoys people and I don't see what you get out of it. If you want to feel better than others... do us a favour: tell yourself that you are and get over it.

Wrong. You don't need Internet access for denuvo.
You only need Internet access for the drm that the game itself uses (Origin or steam for example).
Have a nice day
