I am replaying Tomb Raider Anniversary currently and it does have QTEs were you have to press movement keys according to the arrow prompts on screen - but those are relatively easy ones and not too distracting from the actual action in cutscene. And BTW Tomb Raider Legend had the same QTEs too.

Well i believe they weren't that distracting or annoying, as i dont even remember them. What i remember was very fine tuned controls and great and vertiginous wall running Very Happy

Nostalgia is speaking then.

If you read TRA or TRL posts of this very forum, you can see "the same ones" complaining about QTEs in every posts.

But yeah, years later and these games were gold and amazing and QTEs were non existent Laughing

Looks like the game was updated.

[02-05-2016] PC Patch notes for patch 1.0.610.1
We have just released the first PC patch for Rise of the Tomb Raider, build 1.0.610.1. This patch focusses on critical issues users ran into immediately following release, as well as minor updates based on user feedback which we could get in quickly.

This patch will be applied by Steam or Windows automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client or manually look for updates in the Windows Store.

Startup issues (Steam Only):

Fixed C++ runtime error showing up on startup preventing some users from running the game.
Provided work-around for issue where the VC++ redist would not properly get installed, stopping the game from starting at all.
Solved problem where the game would crash on startup when tools like Bins Taskbar organizer or Spacedesk are installed.

Updated options screen with among other things:

Independent mouse sensitivity control for aim and regular navigation.
Mouse and Gamepad X axis inversion
Option to disable keyboard button prompts.
Option to disable mouse smoothing (very light mouse smoothing is present otherwise)

Other fixes included in this patch:

A variety of fixes and improvements to UI including map, basecamps, and Remnant Resistance mode.
New graphics option 'Specular Reflection Quality' to enhance resolution and reduce aliasing of specular reflections, at some performance cost.
New graphics option to disable film-grain independently from 'Screen Effects'.
Improved HBAO+ quality, including better occlusion for distant objects.
Improved NVIDIA SLI performance. (Steam only)
Fixed SLI glitches during water/snow effects. (Steam only)
Resolution Modifier option that allows you to use a lower rendering resolution independent from window size when running in windowed mode.
Performance optimization for situations where Razer Chroma features are enabled. (Steam Only)
Improvements to Razer Chroma effects. (Steam Only)
Fixed an issue that could rarely lead to an error on machines with 16 hardware threads or more.
Fixed mouse cursor not always being hidden when using gamepad.
Fixed major stuttering in Endurance mode.
Fixes for Endurance leaderboards.
Fixed Remnant Resistance missions occasionally not starting.
Fixed rendering glitches on some objects on NVIDIA 6x0 and 7x0 hardware. Some issue do still happen and we are working with NVIDIA to resolve those in future patches or drivers.
Warning messages for users turning textures to Very High or enabling SSAA to indicate high-end hardware is required.
A variety of other smaller optimizations, bug-fixes, and tweaks.

While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we have made a Beta available on Steam, Build 604.2, that can be used to switch back to the previous version.

We will keep monitoring for feedback and will release further patches as it seems required. We always welcome your feedback!

Manually set the fan speed to 60 solved the temps issues, didn't go above 78 in 2 hours of gameplay. Setting it to less would probably raise the temp to ~85, but i don't find it noisey.

What caught my eye was the sudden temp increase as soon I launched the game, at first was 50, then quickly to 60, 70 (all in 2mins ) and stabilized at 78. Scratch Head

Not sure how to reply on your post. Hmm, let's look it from two different angles. If they don't crack Denuvo in this case then it will save us from playing this POS and we will not spend money on this crap. On the other hand, if they crack Denuvo then we will play it but the devs won't get their money which is a sort of punishment for making this crap. Now, what option to choose ? Scratch Head

Edit: Ooops guys ! I made a terrible mistake !

I was replying in the wrong thread ! Thought it was Far Cry Primal

you can get the game already for around 25 euros so why wait for a steam sale which will be even more then 30.
it's the same with you every time Very Happy just check the fifa thread. wait for crack 6-10 months, no crack gets released then buy the game for almost the same price which you would have paid 6-10 months ago. Laughing
