I told you no such thing.

Have a reasonably good day. Laughing

Good you didn't say you're being reasonable.

I was just glancing over the Occultist and Shaman skill trees and wasn't quite sure of the answer.

I love summoning classes, and enjoyed immensely the large pile of skeletons you could have in D2 on the Necromancer.

If I go with both Occultist and Shaman, how many active summons can I have out at once? Looked like just 2? Or is it more than 2?

3 I think
Raven, hellhound, briathorn + the ones you can get with items.

You can have Briathorn (Shaman), Hellhound (Occultist) and Raven (Occultist) as permanent pets. Shaman also gets a temporary Primal Spirit but it's very high up the skill list. You can also summon several temporary Wind Devils that work sorta like summons but are invulnerable - it's like a moving spell that attacks enemies. And then there are perma summons from skill items and temp summons from devotion. There's a skill, for example, that you can attach to a damaging ability and an enemy killed by it will rise up as a skeleton for some time - the number of such skeletons and the time they stay up depends on the skill's level.

Problem is, pets don't draw aggro very well in GD, so unless you spend some points on abilities generating one (some pets have those) enemies won't keep at them for long if you start doing some serious damage. Heal and dots spells seem to work kinda fine without attracting too much attention, though.

Indeed, my summoner's pets does all his damage but drops a slow or two on anything that breaks off and goes for him, and does some kiting. The pet-damage is alright until you get the Primal Spirit, damn that thing absolutely wrecks shit.

Summoner works wonders for playing one-handed as well, daughter refuses to fall asleep anywhere but on top of me, so 'we' compromise...

edit: Heh, the build Viker just posted is the one I based mine on Smile

This is my main complaint about the game. The way the skill tree works you just put a lot of points in passive stuff and go ahead and play the game with one hand, and then on grimdawn forums people mention this like its some kind of positive thing whereas i dont like it at all Sad

Having the option to play one-handed is great - but, when I don't have a snoring babe on my left arm I play another game or pull out my no-pet shaman/arcanist for a more involved style.

Getting a little bit pissed off now Sad

I cannot fix the bloody stuttering/hitching, It's so sporadic but the more I play the worse it gets. I'll be walking forward towards an area and it looks as if the game misses a frame and thus it stutters. I have tried everything to stop this but it still continues, even with frame rates well above 70fps!

The only thing I can think of that is left that might be causing it, is a Vsync problem, even if I'm using Gsync.

Other than that, It's a very good game and currently at level 35 towards the north west forts

Once again, expressing an opinion is reasonable.

Telling others what to believe is not.

It's hardly rocket science, is it?

Spec in/out = add/remove a point from the devotion - and from the 3/4 an 1/4 at the bottom, I'd assume single +/- means the whole constellation.

ahhh, so that's pretty much in order but as you get higher, remove your points. I didn't realize you could remove points from Devotion.

You can respec devotion by talking with the same person as to respec skills, it's only "more expensive" as it takes an aether crystal + bits.

I think it will be the same amount of times, but the timing of patches is generally slower on GoG. As long as you can be patient, GoG is fine.

If you plan on playing multiplayer or co-op (and with a level cap of 200, you probably will) then get the steam version. You have to have the same updated version of the game as everyone else in your party or you can't join them.

Patience for a patch to fix/update something that might not even affect your gameplay is one thing, but not being able to play with others online for days/weeks might suck.
