Any of the DLCs are worthy? I mostly interested in story mode. From what I understood only Crew Expendable and Last Survivor have a story (both are not part of Season Pass) and SP contains only challenge map and stuff like that DLCs?
yes and no
those two where made only, to tie this dame into the movie Alien time frame ...
a 1h long journey into bugs and glitches of the most overhyped game
One of the complaints with this game was the large amount of jaggies even with SMAA turned on. Recently someone fixed that by creating a mod that adds TAA:
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
Oh nice, gotta try that with 3D Vision to see if there are any bugs.
Playing this in 720p/stereoscopic 3D and on a large projector screen, proper AA is God under these conditions
Share more info pls! My tv has 3D shutter glasses, can I make it work if I hook the PC to it?
I now use 3D Vision glasses, it works a lot better than if you only have the glasses that comes with the TV (i played like that for a while too).. but you can use them too with TriDef. https://www.tridef.com/ You will probably get some ghosting though..
I can highly recommend 3D Vision 2 instead, i got mine really cheap (used).
The Witcher 3 and this game is absolutely amazing with 3D Vision, GTA V looks stunning too. It has a very active community (http://helixmod.blogspot.se/) So the support for games is quite good.. i actually didnt bother with 3D Vision (even though im a big fan of stereoscopic gaming) when it was new due to the poor support. I'd recommend this over Vive or Occulus even yes you dont get headtracking but you get amazing stereoscopic 3D at a very cheap price (if you meet certain requirements, though you can do EDID overrides too for some displays)
You need TriDef, if i remember correctly it came with a built in profile for Alien Isolation. If not you can download a profile for it on their forums. just google tridef isolation if so..

I don't recall there being any post processing effects that I couldn't remove. I wish other games would take cue from it.
The only sources for blur or noise would be chromatic aberration, some sort of anti aliasing and the film grain/noise. All of those you should be able to switch off. The game looked pretty "clean" as far as I remember.
TAA, downsampling to make up for the blur, grain and CA off, some Reshade to tweak levels/exposure, and the image quality reaches the god-like status.
I'll reserve all this for my second future playthrough, the engine is well optimized and hopefully there shouldn't be any problems performance wise. (pants on the other hand..)
The game also does "proper" downsampling or well whatever to call it.
You can just input any resolution and the game will use it and scale to your monitors native.
(Which as far as I can remember is rarely used at all, I can only think of Crysis 1 doing it back in 2007 and also Elder Scrolls Online yeah for some reason that game does downsampling this way.)
(UE4 and Frostbite technically also allow for a resolution slider to supersample but it's generally - always? - percentage based instead of setting a resolution directly.)
vr "support" was garbage to begin with
either do it Properly, or don't do it at all
getting people sick benefits no-one
i would LOOOOVE a proper VR version of this

People get sick from everything. Low fps, low fov, camera going up and down. Just let things be as an option.
“VR has caught the whole company’s attention,” Post explains. “We have a lot of VR kits in the office and people are playing with it. We are exploring ways to release games. We’ve not announced anything, but we are very close to making an announcement. We did Alien: Isolation about three years ago on Oculus Rift, it was a demo that was bloody scary. To bring that back to VR would be a dream and dreams can come true.
“VR will take time, but we will start releasing some titles just to learn. It is a platform for the future.
This heavily hints to a revamped VR mode or new release
Spoiler:
exclusively for PSVR.

''Our sources tell us that after work is finished on Halo Wars 2, a new Alien game may start development over at Alien Isolation dev Creative Assembly.''
