I have nothing against them. A month ago I was staying at the hostel. Typical hostel for students. At 10pm a guy came in into the room. He didn't say hi didn't shake my hand .. just nothing didn't say a shit to other 3 guys in the room either. I just thought he might be rude so skip it. But I saw that he's right hand is kinda plastic looking ... and after a second i realized that is really made from plastic ;o]. He's whole fucking arm was a .. how you called it in english .. Artificial limb ? Nvm. He could move only one arm. But I've noticed that he's is a quite more faaster that anyone. A opening a pack of chips took him 3 sec he unpacked in that time when I would barely reach a zipper ;o] He impressed me. But his little pocket knife with scissors to help him open a bag of chips was amazing.
I admire handicap ppl for they will to live normally just like we does.

He they most likely wouldn't contribute to society, be they are using more resources.
Not meant to be an insult, just my opinion. |
They have their own helpers. Some handicapped people can be quite clever and can improve society so saying that is pretty stupid. Also denying a handicapped person an education because it requires more resources is a pretty disgusting opinion. |
Read my post more closely. Do you believe that the average handicap is just as likely to succeed than a normal person? It was better when they were in a special class with only handicapped kids. |
Well it depends on their handicap. If their only handicap is maybe being less mobile i.e. club feet or in a wheelchair then they have just as much a chance at being a successful banker (for example) than a more 'able' person. Of course he's not gonna be good at walking but that doesn't mean it's the end of it all. Mental handicapped people is different though. Some kids with ADHD are actually the smart one's but they just lack the social skills needed. This again doesn't limit them to the dole office. They can still get a good job just in a specialised enviroment that suits them.

I cant believe some of the mentality on this forum. |
Are we supposed to pat them on the back and say "good luck"
Many people start grinning or laughing when they see someone in a wheelchair with their eyes staring at something and mumbling "huhduhud"

when I see a car on the road with handicap plates I always think they're mentally handicapped. Dunno why, maybe because they're bad drivers and always get the front row parking.

i laugh inside.
Its not that i stand in front of them and have a big laugh.

Somehow handicapped people is the slapstick joke of nature.
So, it's sort of like natures way of saying: "Laugh more, you sons of bitches!".
Most people do, c'est naturelle!
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.
