Idle Master it is. I have been using ways to farm cards (SAM at early stages) since beginning nothing happened yet and i never heard anyone banned for this so its pretty safe.

BTW
Did they remove the 2h waiting period at all? Or its auto removed after a certain amount of time not using refund system? Lately i started to get card drops right away.

Takes a few minutes to set up but once that's done it's very easy to use.

As for risks I don't think there is one.
(I mean I've been using this and SAM - http://blog.gib.me/category/sam/ - for years now.)

EDIT: Yeah I get card drops right away now but it's been over a year since I did that one refund of a game that was clearly never going to be properly finished. Razz
(So I guess it's timed in some way.)

EDIT: The config I'm using for ASF (2.1.6.2) as a example. ->

Quote:

{
"Enabled": true,
"Paused": false,
"StartOnLaunch": true,
"SteamLogin": "YOUR STEAM USER NAME",
"SteamPassword": "YOUR STEAM PASSWORD",
"PasswordFormat": 0,
"SteamParentalPIN": "0",
"SteamApiKey": null,
"SteamMasterID": 0,
"SteamMasterClanID": 0,
"CardDropsRestricted": true,
"DismissInventoryNotifications": true,
"FarmingOrder": 0,
"FarmOffline": false,
"HandleOfflineMessages": false,
"AcceptGifts": false,
"IsBotAccount": false,
"ForwardKeysToOtherBots": false,
"DistributeKeys": false,
"ShutdownOnFarmingFinished": false,
"SendOnFarmingFinished": false,

"SendTradePeriod": 0,
"TradingPreferences": 1,
"AcceptConfirmationsPeriod": 0,
"CustomGamePlayedWhileFarming": null,
"CustomGamePlayedWhileIdle": null,

}

Essentially I just compared with the example.json file and updated as needed. Smile
(Enabled to true and then adding username and pw basically.)

I have the same long config but you only need to add the config entries you want to change (e.g., username / password).

Is there anything like Steam Inventory Helper I can use to sell a lot of cards quickly? Last time I used SIH it worked great, but now I am trying to sell ~1500 cards and it has been a pain in the ass, as mass listing shows errors when trying to get the prices on nearly half of the cards... half an hour in and barely managed to list 50 cards... I guess it would be faster to list them one by one. Sad

I just wrote/modified a user script to make this (as I was fed up having to manually adjust all prices constantly):

If there's no price for an item yet it puts it up for maximum price, or if the price cannot be retrieved (e.g., when Steam gives an error or something), the maximum price too.

If you're interested you can get it here. You need Greasemonkey / Tampermonkey Smile

Great stuff Areius, doesn't conflict with SteamDB script which I wanted to keep for when I feel more hands on.

It would have been perfect if we could set a minimum price though, to battle temporary low prices due to bundles. Dunno if that would take much effort or if you feel like doing so? Smile

That's not too much trouble to add, so I'll add that.

I use SIH as well but it doesn't have an option to set a maximum price (I never put normal cards > 0.25 and foils > 2.34 on market) and IMO not very convenient if you want to sell lots of cards as you first have to wait X time and then have to press another button again. This is just one click sell all.

Foils drop like regular cards, they're only much rarer. They're not crafted. You get backgrounds, emoticons and coupons with crafting.

Yeah it's random but it's fairly rare, I don't think I've had more than 20 foils in total and that's since I started using card farming and selling those which resulted in a lot of games being idled. (Meaning something around 2000 cards in total.)

Best sale was I think 1 Euro for a card that wasn't valued yet, I just want that stuff done with and out of my inventory so if it hasn't sold in a few minutes I just lower the price until it does.

Recently though Valve switched to a 15 day delay if you don't use a mobile phone for authentication or some such so now I sell everything in bulk at 0.01 for regular cards and 0.1 for foils and just wait until it's gone.
(The mobile phone I use is just for making calls with, it doesn't support apps or anything like that. Very Happy )

(One person out of 10+ million Steam users in total so I doubt it'll affect the economy of cards and besides far as I can tell going by sales most of the pricing is done by pre-release "reviewers" before the games general release.)

You can use Winauth to have Steamguard codes generated on Windows. It can confirm trades as well.

Alright, added some changes:

- Added SIH integration (can now only sell selected cards).
- Added minimum prices for normal and foil cards.
- Auto pricing now uses only 12 hours of history instead of 24 hours.
- Auto pricing tries to fall back to history and listings instead of always picking max price.

History is only used if it's more than the current lowest listing price.
I should also point out that it probably only works if you have Steam set to English.

Unlocking Skyrim SE took around 3 mns here, not bad considering the time needed previously.
But with cpu usage @35% (despite all cores used) and SSD @50MB/s there is still room for improvement Smile

It doesn't affect other deals.

Yup, but of course we won't be able to buy anything for at least another hour (likely three) when the Steam Store drops offline in 3..2..1...

When the monkeys stop clicking and the store works again I've been waiting to buy Rogue System for ages. IL-2 Battle of Moscow had better finally be in it too or I won't be happy lol

The steam bomb clock is ticking... tick, tock... BUHBOOM!
