I haven't read the thread for fear of spoiling the game. Do I need a Vpn every time or something?

Thanks to Oakwind, i´m able to play the game in all its (questionable) glory, beeing invaded and doing Coop things and all. Its really, really good this time around. I know that having working MP clouds my judgement a bit since some acitvities really get the heartrate up but all in all, its a much better game than part 1.
Once i´m done playing (have maybe 20% atm) and i figured the UplayAccount out, i have no problem lending the account/game to some humper who wants to play it btw. Paying it forward so to speak since Oak was so generous and i feel like i don´t really deserve it

Defending against a hacker was so damn easy anyways for me. Out of maybe 15 invasions only one succeeded.
Not sure if it's really that easy to defend, or all of them were rather bad. But i think the first one.

No fucking idea what you are talking about.

No fucking idea what you are talking about. |
Have you driven in the game at all?
Have you seen physics objects and what they do?
Have you seen how basic everything is?
GTA IV surpasses everything easily, GTA V completely destroys it.

As you see above i finished the game.
And writing somelike "physics out of gta 3" is just plain dumb.
I never got the impression at all that physics were dumbed down. Quite the opposite, as you can destroy pretty much every object on the streets.
Beating people up felt good too.
Driving felt strange, depending on the vehicle. Bust most of the time it was more than fine.
This is no fucking driving simulator.

I've enjoyed both watch doge games. the core gameplay has been improved and expanded in this one. The tone of the lore and the story was changed into a light hearted one. those are really the two big main differences between the two games. A shift in tone, and expansion/improvement of the gameplay code in place.
But then again, I have a very long gradation scale when it comes to appreciating games. It takes quite a few flaws for a game to drop into the negatives.
Also, the UEP subgenre is very interesting to me and not often explored in video games, and surely no game does this better than watch doge 2. Project EDEN is the only other game i'd say did this right. I'd love more games like that.

Is there a progress tracker in the game like there was in WD1? I hear people talking about what percentage they're done, but not seen or noticed any indicators in game.
Edit: And of the course the first thing I find when I boot it up is a progress bar in the "Load Game" section. Anything more in depth though, like in WD1?

Today we’re releasing Title Update 1.09 for PC. Xbox One and PS4 received this patch last week.
Below are the fixes you can expect from this PC patch:
• [Performance] RAM Usage Optimization – This patch optimizes a system memory usage which improves the game’s performance on systems with low RAM amount.
• [Performance] Screenspace Reflections Optimization – This patch improves the overall performance of Screenspace Reflections and adds two new lower quality levels (Medium and High).
• San Francisco Fog – The algorithm of the San Francisco Fog (aka “Karl”) appearing is improved with this title update.
• Visual – The maximum value of the Pixel Density slider has been changed from 1.25 to 1.5 with this patch.
• Sound – We have added a Music Volume slider.
• Controller – Added support for the newer DualShock 4 controllers (ZCT2U models).
• YourBoySerge Nerf – This .50 Cal sniper rifle has been the subject of some debate in the community, and is considered to be overpowered in online play. In this patch, we’ve reduced the number of rounds in the magazine from 6 to 1, and we will continue to monitor and balance this beasty rifle.
• Fixed various minor issues with flickering.
• Fixed various minor issues with incorrect window modes behavior.
• Fixed various minor issues with the UI and text.
