Looks like that "high performance" comes from small 10k rpm fan, i bet they bundle ear protection with it.

I'm getting a little bit hyped
Really thinking about doing a full AMD upgrade this summer.

This render was confirmed to have been made by a member of the community named in the picture, it wasn't made by AMD.
This picture offers an interesting comparison based on the information currently floating around (performance and price): https://i.imgur.com/ADskbDx.png

Some 1700X benchmarks (sounds that they are real), apparently intel CPU´s were overclocked in this test, and the 1700X was tested on some shit mobo along with 2400mhz ram sticks, so performance might be even better, but in a nutshell, we are looking at Haswell/Broadwell IPC performance, if this is true, it is going to be very good CPU.

those benches dont say anything. ofc they are fast in most of them cause that thing has 16 cores
but look at the single core benchmark. 800mhz slower than the 7700k and loosing much. even loosing to a 6800k @ 3,4ghz too (if that ryzen sample was really clocked at 3,4ghz too, we dont know that) and is basicly on the same level in terms of single core performance with a 3,0ghz clocked intel cpu
tbh thats not impressive, they can barely catch up to a one year old cpu and are still not available. and yes its still the single core performance which is important, i said multiple times -> for homeusers 16 cores are useless atm (and will be in the next 2-3 years)

Please don't link any supposed to be real benchmarks / infos from a website that replaces "s" with "z" to look cool.

I get your reasoning, but I don't think it's valid to disregard any information from website, just because they chose a bad name 9 years ago (domain was registered in 2008). Many things may have changed since then. Maybe they'll rebrand one day, but I don't think it's necessary just because silly "cool" s->z substitute.

@Videocardz, and also Wcctech leaks:
Sure, more leaked benchmarks are always welcome. But i don't really find them trustworthy at all, as i think in the past they sometimes released fake data, just to get clicks on their website.
And also personally i don't really care about scores from some benchmark tools.
Give me numbers from actual modern and in comparison to their Intel counterpart.

"half-knowledge speculation nonsense" also known as the JackQ special.
On topic, if the leaked prices are accurate, and you can get a Ryzen 7 1700+decent mobo for around $410, I'll go for it.
Even if it's 15-10% slower than an i7-6700K in game performance, it's still a good deal, IMO.
Hopefully AMD will deliver something competitive this time, on both the CPU and GPU markets.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

So, just a bit over a week now till Ryzen is officially out and to either get excited or disappointed.
Already put a 7700k with other necessary components on my wishlist, ready to order.
But i really hope AMD will offer a solid competition this time with their CPUs.

You are waiting with ordering for the Ryzen release right, to see some benchmarks first?

Its really hard to speculate about it but my guts is telling me its gonna be really good. I'm checking all the leaks and articles since the moment i used all my upgrade money to buy AMD stocks. I'm even planning to buy 500 euro more before Ryzen release.
The hype is real.

Looks like 1700X ryzen will be insane value for money, jesus christ dat performance for less than 400 dollars. This shit is going to shake intel pricing on the high end market for sure.

Just like nobody cared about 4 cores a few years back.
But the people who wont care can still buy the cheaper 4 core CPUs.
In any case, if this review is right, prices will have go down at intel.
Everybody wins.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Bitch, I still care and pax does as well. Not everything has to be gaming related. Pax mentions encoding, I'll add science/simulation stuff to it. I could use it right now.
