I wonder if they improved the weapon animation for the release.

It kills me that there's a lot to like about the game, but it should never have been a shooter - at least not with this budget/talent. The atmosphere and designs ok great, and if it's gog some solidly intriguing lore going on, there could have been a. Really solid game here.
Also that trailer is all wrong. Either whoever made it is way off base and doesn't understand the mood of the game... or the devs have woefully mishandled and thrown away something with a lot of potential.

I guess it makes sencse what the gameplay is when you see the team
Quote: | Our team consists of industry veterans from such studios as People Can Fly, Epic Games, Flying Wild Hog, Platige Image, CreativeForge, Techland or CD Project RED, who have worked on many acclaimed AAA titles including Ancient Space, BulletStorm, PainKiller, Gears of War, Dying Light and The Witcher 3. |

Is there any way i can tweak some graphic settings in maybe some cfg file or something? Cannot find sweet spot using 290x, can not force v-sync on 2k resolution where game is going fluid, and on 4k borderless with freesync it is 30fps on low settings, and game have only low -medium-high settings, really dunno why they lock other tweaks, absolutely barbaric!

Isn't there a GPU slider? Not sure what that does (allows more memory) ??? Maybe adjust it?

Not sure what this game is?? Played for 45min. Seems to be running fine. At first it just sat there on the loading screen? Restarted and it was fine. Then the keyboard stop working I couldn't move. I could look around but that was it. Did a PC reboot and that seems to have fixed it. Wandering around figuring things out and I got a gun that shoots electric current.
I like the graphics and the strangeness of it. But I will continue to play and see where it goes. Can't really score it yet.

The world and atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. It exudes a real Jericho + eXistenZ vibe.
Unfortunately, every other aspect of the game is complete trash. From the sounds, to the "gun-play", to the checkpoints (or lack thereof), to the inability to customize options or controls.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

No way to remap the keys, or am I missing something? WASD is no good for me. Pissed me off the amount of devs who ignore us southpaws..

This game is garbage and lacks basic features. The only good thing about it is the art style.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

I was curious as hell and installed the game yesterday night, I was particularly bored (yet aroused by the visceral art-style) so I ended up finishing it in practically one sitting. It lasted a couple of hours (ish, perhaps something more), with only four chapters in total with...an "ending" that wrapped it up as quickly as possible, zero fucks given. There isn't much to say really, the game is the very definition of utterly wasted potential, it's such a weird beast.
I was expecting to find a shooter, but the game decided to be a walking simulator with some pea shooting here and there instead, in hindsight not the wisest decision. The adventure-fps hybrid with three elemental guns to use and solve puzzles actually could have worked well if supported by a level design with a minimum amount of depth, enemies that don't repeat themselves, AI patterns that aren't broken and clever puzzles instead of the 'push the button to open the portal and proceed to the linear path' routine, but alas.
It really is a shame, because as already mentioned, the visuals themselves are absolutely glorious...and that's pretty much the only good thing about the game. 9/10 for the aesthetics and 4/10 for all the rest. Not to mention the bugs, roughness, insane framerate drops, repetitive music, you name it. Patches in this case can only do so much, since there isn't a solid gameplay structure behind the visuals and not having a story doesn't help either.

it sounds more like graphic engine test than a real game
i guess i'll skip this one...too many things to do and too many games to play, so no time to waste
