- You can enable a grid in the options.
- Also you can quicksave spam very easy, just in case you don't know if an encounter will end in a fight

I'm sorry, but it seems you are not playing those kind of games that often.

-There are multiple fights where enemies pop out of nowhere. You can follow guards patrol paths and attack them and sometimes you'll still have enemies coming from off-screen to attack you.
-Stats don't mean abilities, do they?
-I know you can enable a grid, hence the usage of the word "proper". Like in the first game, the grid is just poorly executed.
-It's this the game's defense for cheap design? That you can quicksave? I think we just hit rock bottom.

You are drawing conclusions based on nothing. You don't play on the same difficulty level as me and you have no clue how I'm playing.

Wait till you get to

By the way, use the right click - Examine on monsters (one of your characters needs high loremaster ability).

You can quite often see that monsters for example have -50% fire resistance or something (or that you're hitting them with an element they resist)

I dunno whose stupid idea it was to make it more "difficult" by increasing armor and hp so much ... done almost everything on 1st island and still the act 2 ship fight gives me these pimped up monsters (at same level!), then stupid Malady dies in the fight despite being 5 levels higher than them what the fuck.

That ship fight was probably one of the easiest fights in the game Surprised
Like nothing compared to the fight BEFORE the ship.

Why are people having such a hard time with it?

The game is less than a week old, so I'd just recommend in general (not to anyone in particular) to be a bit more careful about spoilers.

Wasn't it released back in late 2016 Confused

Thanks!

If that was the lever off to the left (if you're viewing the door north of you aligning the camera), I thought that was to open the door to get into that area. But I cannot recall as I clicked on it once. I'll have to go back to check.

The Early Access originally released with an incomplete Act 1 and we've had people discuss act 2 once they reached it. Better to keep some of the mysteries tagged as spoilers.

New Hotfix allows for Steam and GOG crossplay
Quote:
Our servers weren’t ready to handle the high amount of people playing concurrently, and as a result we had to switch them off over the weekend. We increased our capacity since then and so you should now be able to use direct connect again (which allows for crossplay between Steam and GOG). We’ve also fixed a few crashes and the permanent wet-status effect. A bigger patch is due in the next couple of days which should address several of the issues we’ve seen reported.

Getting a little bored of all these new RPG games ... DOS2 is good but some tricks to make it challenging are a bit too obvious, I always go back to BG2, good story, day night cycle, no over saturated maps and cartoony models, muuuch better dialogues. Jon fucking Irenicus the god of voice overs and best villain is just too good Smile

/Rant over

BG2 is great, currently replaying it and having a lot of fun.

I've looked at a few videos of this game, nothing that stands out for me (or on me) at all. What it seems to lack it atmosphere, Bethesda gets that right at least, PB too.. this might be a fun game to play with a friend though.

God,this game is soooo good. I mean, sure,it does has its flaws and is kinda just more of the same as part one but my gf even dropped her SWG addiction to play this whenever there are a few hours free to play. Easily best RPG of -current year-

I was reading about that "Bless" and how useful it is, too.
I think I need it, too...
But where do you get that? is it a spellbook or crafting or a rune or what? (I am still on the island in the Seeker camp now, Lev. 6) Confused

thx

Can you do the origin stories of the other characters even if you don't put them in your main party?

Pretty sure you can't since the dialogue won't trigger if the character isn't in your party.

Someone made a mode to recruit and have all origin characters. I guess that will work.

Have the same issue since early access. Pretty sure it's a bug.

Yup I also got quests stuck in my list that are either complete or unavailable for completion now.

Pretty annoying as I like it to be clean, now I'm constantly looking over same quests trying to figure out which one is which and what to do next...

Think i can safely wait a bit until they've fixed the worst bugs as the worst would be if it doesn't fix retroactively and you need to start over again.
