- You can enable a grid in the options.
- Also you can quicksave spam very easy, just in case you don't know if an encounter will end in a fight
I'm sorry, but it seems you are not playing those kind of games that often. |
-There are multiple fights where enemies pop out of nowhere. You can follow guards patrol paths and attack them and sometimes you'll still have enemies coming from off-screen to attack you.
-Stats don't mean abilities, do they?
-I know you can enable a grid, hence the usage of the word "proper". Like in the first game, the grid is just poorly executed.
-It's this the game's defense for cheap design? That you can quicksave? I think we just hit rock bottom.
You are drawing conclusions based on nothing. You don't play on the same difficulty level as me and you have no clue how I'm playing. |
Wait till you get to
Spoiler: | Blackpits, there is an execution there and when you go to stop it you get like 20 oily void thingys out of nowhere that put oil on ground when they move and half of them light it up with Necrofire then. FPS was like 30 rofl, so much Necrofire EVERYWHERE |

By the way, use the right click - Examine on monsters (one of your characters needs high loremaster ability).
You can quite often see that monsters for example have -50% fire resistance or something (or that you're hitting them with an element they resist)

I dunno whose stupid idea it was to make it more "difficult" by increasing armor and hp so much ... done almost everything on 1st island and still the act 2 ship fight gives me these pimped up monsters (at same level!), then stupid Malady dies in the fight despite being 5 levels higher than them what the fuck.

Lol, I feel like I'm playing this game wrong.
Spoiler: | I was reading this article on Friday after already having started an origin story using the Lone wolf guy. ( http://www.pcgamer.com/divinity-original-sin-2-guide-beginners/). In the article, they mention the black cat. I've had to reload the game after the cat disappeared (possibly died off) during the Camp Kitchen mission in Ft. Joy hen I wouldn't give up the name of the thief to gruff.
- So the black cat that follows you around at the beginning can be swappable in combat?
Is it better than any of the characters you have with you? I do not have the skill to talk to pets yet. |
Also other questions:
Spoiler: | - Someone on Steam mentioned not letting the female Lizard magister die when you walk into Ft. Joy but to go around. Something about getting better gear from saving her? Someone posted this on Steam under a walkthrough so just wondering if anyone else came to her aid?
- Where the hell do I get a bow and some arrows at in Ft. Joy? I've been playing for about 3 hours now and I haven't found a bow for my Lone Wolf guy who I want to be an archer. Also, I haven't been able to find a person to buy goods from. Does anyone with a large inventory of goods exist on the island?
- Barrels. So we can pick them up and put them into our inventory but cannot roll them toward an enemy? I was hoping to even throw them. Can they be teleported? I only have Fane, Red Prince and (just added Sebille), so really no magic person for teleporting.
- So the entrance into the prison under the statue has a back way into getting off the island. In there, you battle 2 archers and 1 or 2 magisters but after defeating them I am unable to unlock the door to look for the soul jar for Withermoore. None of those magisters had a key on them and I do not have the level for Thievery required, despite having Fane in my group with his unlock ability (but no thievery points). Am I just going to have to keep leveling him up to unlock the door or where is that key? Is there another way to get into that area? |

Spoiler: | -The black cat is attached to only one person (and only he/she can summon the cat) in your party and has 2 abilities - one is to swap places with its "owner" and jump across 10 meters. I don't know how the little fucker chooses the owner but it follows only my tank which is good mobility-wise with the swap skill.
-There is a ladder on the right side of the main entrance to Fort Joy but I can't check out if it's possible to climb it without triggering the cutscene where the lizard magister dies. There is no other way around.
-Play some more time and you get to find good bows/crossbows. When you first leave Fort Joy and talk to the story character outside you will get a nice crossbow for a reward.
-There are more than enough barrels around the battlefields to make you sick sooner or later . Better learn use your spells and arrows. If you pick and place them if you so much want or teleport them. A NPC called Gawin in Fort Joy will give you the quest "The Teleporter" that rewards you with gloves with Teleport ability.
-Look for a secret switch in the corridor just before the room with the archers and magisters. |

The game is less than a week old, so I'd just recommend in general (not to anyone in particular) to be a bit more careful about spoilers.

Thanks!
If that was the lever off to the left (if you're viewing the door north of you aligning the camera), I thought that was to open the door to get into that area. But I cannot recall as I clicked on it once. I'll have to go back to check.

New Hotfix allows for Steam and GOG crossplay
Quote: | Our servers weren’t ready to handle the high amount of people playing concurrently, and as a result we had to switch them off over the weekend. We increased our capacity since then and so you should now be able to use direct connect again (which allows for crossplay between Steam and GOG). We’ve also fixed a few crashes and the permanent wet-status effect. A bigger patch is due in the next couple of days which should address several of the issues we’ve seen reported. |

BG2 is great, currently replaying it and having a lot of fun.
I've looked at a few videos of this game, nothing that stands out for me (or on me) at all. What it seems to lack it atmosphere, Bethesda gets that right at least, PB too.. this might be a fun game to play with a friend though.

God,this game is soooo good. I mean, sure,it does has its flaws and is kinda just more of the same as part one but my gf even dropped her SWG addiction to play this whenever there are a few hours free to play. Easily best RPG of -current year-

Can you do the origin stories of the other characters even if you don't put them in your main party?

Pretty sure you can't since the dialogue won't trigger if the character isn't in your party.
Someone made a mode to recruit and have all origin characters. I guess that will work.

Have the same issue since early access. Pretty sure it's a bug.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

In the first for example, i got that wolgraff's voice without him being in the party. I guess things work different this time around?

Yup I also got quests stuck in my list that are either complete or unavailable for completion now.
Pretty annoying as I like it to be clean, now I'm constantly looking over same quests trying to figure out which one is which and what to do next...

Think i can safely wait a bit until they've fixed the worst bugs as the worst would be if it doesn't fix retroactively and you need to start over again.
