To a subwoofer every position is potentially viable. Near walls or corners gives a free bass boost. However, that doesn't mean that any of these positions are actually any good. Test it. You want a smooth transition from the satellites to the sub and you don't want to localize it either.

Thanks, thats what i was thinking about doing, i really dont want it on the floor and it seems the satelities seem weaker with it on the floor and not as complemented, it has a fuller sound with all 3 pieces on the desktop.

Subwoofers are omnidirectional. Just put it somewhere that's not blocking it.

Well, you can try putting ferrite beads on some of the cables.
Otherwise, I dunno if you have things like this in Europe but for 3 prong power cord with a ground prong on it, using a 3 to 2 adapter can solve the issue
Otherwise there's other options that cost more like ground loop hum eliminators

Ya for what they are, sound bars aren't too bad, I'd like to get one for my mom's tv, her speakers are going out but she's got a cheapo Magnavox tv

I've been keeping my eye out for the 9500 version of this amp for over a year and nothing ever popped up.
Did a search and The Mark II version popped up on Craigslist and bought it yesterday as soon as the guy got home.

Pictures make them look cheap but probably the best built headphones I've ever held. The black framing on the outside I thought was going to be plastic but it's all aluminum. Earpads are some of the softest, most comfortable I've ever used next to the normal velour, these are still softer. Little heavier than my previous headphones but the clamp pressure + the strap makes them feel almost weightless.
Soundwise, they're like nothing any other headphones sound like. Most of the reviews I read all mentioned them sounding like walking into a room with really nice speakers. Made 0 sense to me at the time until I got them and I don't even know how to describe that? I guess the way they built the drivers was in the same sense that speaker drivers are made vs how most headphones make the diaphragm.
At first, listening to them they just sounded muddy, wasn't sure if I was going to keep them but everywhere I read, I kept being told to get used to them and let my ears adjust since they have a really weird sound signature, but once your ears get used to it, it's hard to walk away from them, and they were right. What I thought I didn't like at first, turned out to be some of the best I've heard. I had a few different headphones to compare them to including the Sennheiser HD600 and still can't say I like anything better than the Nighthawk sound now. Even my monitors don't really compare.
The only downside I have with them, is the sound stage isn't as wide as I normally like with my Senns, but these headphones tend to do everything nice. Highs are nice but don't feel like they're piercing your eardrums, mids are just where I like them and the bass/sub bass is just insane. They hit hard when they need to and the sub bass rumbles your head when it hits, doesn't get flabby or break up at all.
Bass can get a little too much depending on what I'm listening to but eh, not big enough issue to worry about using an EQ to tone it down a little
While the sound stage isn't as wide as I'd like for music, the imaging on them is fucking perfect especially for video games. Footsteps sound exactly where they should be instead of sounding further away or closer than they are. Few games I've played online especially some competitive games made me feel like I was cheating at times.
So really, only cons is I'd like the wider sound stage of a Sennheiser (granted mine are only semi-open) and bass can be a little overzealous sometime and the sound signature took some getting used to but overall, for what I paid, I love them. I've always had an itch to get different headphones with every other pair I've owned. Since I got these, I haven't even looked at getting a new pair. They usually retail for around 500 but I got them brand new off a guy not too far from me from head-fi for 385 bucks shipped and that was a god damn good deal.

@SpykeZ
Thanks for the input!
But you lost me at "They usually retail for around 500" as I'm a cheap bastard.
I was hoping for cheap yet quality headphones and 500 ain't cheap.

If you want cheap and fucking awesome, grab the phillips shp9500. Like 70 bucks USD and sounds better than headphones that go for double the price.

The head-fi thread is pretty god damn big too. It's pretty universally loved. I've had 3? friends now buy a pair after recommending them in their budget and they all love them. Just make sure you pair them with a decent DAC. Amp isn't needed but they do sound hella better if they're not being run off of a shitty onboard sound.
There is the newer version called the shp9500s.
Comes with a shorter cable but they refined the driver a little bit and can go 5dB lower.
