Well, I have this Mace called Heavy warhammer:

But you don't need the Stab damage if you fight with armored enemies and even full leather ones die easy enough from Maces.

Yes, which makes the sharpening Perks kinda useless because later in the game you can't use Swords vs full heavy armors.

Ah, nice. I think I may have found one of those in one of the treasure chests, but I sold it because I was still using swords at the time.

Unfortunately, yes you can. You'll even find that you're 2-3 shotting full plate wearers with swords. The game just isn't balanced well once your character progresses a bit.

also the exploit of hitting people that aren't target locked is ridiculous Laughing

also when the fuck do you learn the counter attack moves?!

I'm fed up with people that constantly riposting, counter attacking and locking me without me being able to do anything about it Mad

quest design is such a drag after the hunt Sad Basically no action, no fights, no twists, no drama, just run from NPC A to NPC B, talk to peasants, ride there, make a potion, go back, talk to the same peasants again, look for someone in a forest, then find him in the cave. A walking medieval simulator. Just like FFXV so much potential destroyed with dull fillers, walking and pointless talking. Devs, it's ok to make a 15-20h game. And I hate it because I'm still addicted to the game, I'm playing it and simply not enjoying it waiting for something to happen for hours and hours.

Yeah, the main quest drags. I've been doing side quests mostly until now. But once you find Timmy the giant, it seems to pick up the pace (I'm there now). Smile

Go and train with Captain Bernard. It should be a main story quest, so if you haven't triggered it yet, stop fucking around and do the story quests.

Yes it does... for a tiny little while and then it's back to inspecting and talking and riding, and circling and reporting Smile

Also this game could use difficulty settings. Why hunt, haggle, use alchemy, do side quests, use alcohol or any other mechanics if everything's sooo easy.

This is why an open world game is a poor fit for what they are going for. It's hard to balance a game around the possibility of people spending 40 hours in the prologue grinding out to max skill level.

Doesn't exactly help that almost all skills are OP once you reach lvl 10. They should have capped them all in the prologue or something.

Alchemy perk at lvl 12 apparently increases your strength just by picking flowers. By then, you're pretty much a millionaire just by selling flowers, but then you become the hulk as well Laughing

They probably need some time-based cap. You can only gain A amount of XP for a given skill in B period. Per in-game day perhaps. And/or put in other limiters, like every X levels having to learn more from a book, or an expert, involving some quest or other. The book option would be a good way to hard limit it seeing as you need to learn to read first.

Herbalism. And only if you take the specific perk for it (Leg Day).

They just need to drastically tone down the scaling for both stats and weapons. For example, wearing top level armor on every slot gives barely enough armor to withstand two hits from the top level sword in the game with 20str. So much for swords being supposedly useless against plate.

Lots of other stupid things too. Like why does my weapon damage go up if I equip a shield?

I did, he thought me how to parry, dodge and combo

too bad I rarely get to execute a whole combo, even a 3 move ones, as I'm riposted on the 2-nd move 90% of the time Mad

You need to talk to him again and choose the option to learn master parry.

Really a shame, since i really want to play it. But not being able to progress the main story just sucks.

I'm loving the game but part of me wants to put it to one side and come back when some of the major issues are ironed out. Then I start playing and can't turn it off again Very Happy

I think once I hit a proper showstopping bug that will be me done for a while.

You are supposed to put the spoiler tag in the beginning you sick bastard! Rage

Anyway, I get lots of bugs as well. But so far they are always fixed if I load some earlier save and play the same part again (except that side quest to catch the Nightingales which weirdly enough I fixed with placing the cages near my horse. After some time the little scumbirds were caught inside the cage. There wasn't any other way to finish that quest Laughing ). That's why I save almost every minute because I hate to play same stuff again.

@PredOborG
I found some possible fixes others confirmed too. But sincei started that main quest, then did some other quest, then continued it, i have a timespan of several hours between the latest savegame that might fix the issue.

Not gonna reload that though. I just hope 1.3 will fix this is.

Though i'm curious, how much more content is there after the quest "Questions and Answers" ?

Lost my fucking horse!

It ran off when I was attacked during a main quest, and instead of finding it, I just fast travelled to the nearest town. Of course I expected the whistle to work.. of course it didnt... of course I have no idea where I was previously as it was unmarked on the map...

Not entirely happy Razz

Does it still show up in the horse tab? If so, you'll probably have to do what I did - go to a stable, buy a new horse, and trade-in your old one. Now you can buy back your original horse, trading-in the one you just bought.

The post was made in the Bug-Report forum. And in the title it was visible about which quest it was.
I really doubt any normal person is browsing there just for fun.

I found what I assume is unintended behaviour with Alchemy. Once you reach level 10 you can unlock the Routine I perk, which allows you auto-brew any potion you have previously brewed manually at least once. Except that what actually happens is it will let you auto-brew any potion as long as you have one of said potion in your inventory, even if you have never actually manually brewed one of them yourself.

Alchemy seems almost worthless anyway. I have so many stolen potions and rarely even have to use them. Good finding tho Smile. I also have a helpful bug - I don't lose any lockpicks anymore no matter how many times I fail. No idea how that happened tho. Sad
