I only played the f2p version of Battle Royale. Tbh it's rather boring, spawn -> walk around for a while, kill one or die yourself -> connect to a different server. I expect pve to be much more interesting, but that's not yet f2p.
Well, that's basically every BR / Survival game out there.

True the game is probably rated T (13, PEGI) but why not be stricter, set limits and rules?
That's her problem though, seems people are softer overall these days and I guess that can work too but some discipline and rules aren't bad to have.
Even if she's not technically apt to set up XBox family or what it's called for times and such she could still just take the controller or power cable if it comes to that.
Though unless he spends all the day in front of the XBox I don't see what's so bad about it.
("Welcome to the family son!")
But I guess schools are now facing similar issues, even first-year pupils sitting with their iphone or android devices ha ha, times change I guess.
(And you are no longer allowed to school the pupil in the hand the little shit his - or her. - ass style of discipline which was popular some years back.)

If a game like this requires some parent intervention or some shit like that then world is beyond saving.
Fuck, I used to play Resident Evil and Dino Crisis when I was like 9 or 10. These age restrictions are retarded.

Yes and you did grow up to such a lovely and good guy.
One More reason to be More strict with age restrictions

She just refuse to accept the fact that its her parenting and not the game that is to blame.

Too bad PVE is still pretty dead when you get into Canny or Twine. I am forced to region hop constantly and waste more time trying to find full rooms of mission types I like doing then actually playing plus the load times to start the missions are far too long just to then put you into an empty room just adding to the big waste of time PVE has become.
Epic needs to do something like Warframe and show how many squads or players are in each mission on the map so you can avoid those that are empty if you want but I am sure they are afraid people would realize that there are under 1000 players online at any given time in PVE and they are still hoping to sucker people into buying it before F2P hits in a few months.
Fucking cunts.
I don't care for that shit BR mode.
Just let me join into the dead PVE mode.
That's one of the biggest issues I am having with them lately when it is obvious that there are less then 1000 PVE players on at any given time but they can't make room on the servers for such a small amount compared to the millions for BR mode. They should just have the choice to play PVE or BR mode on the launcher and not have it be in game that way BR mode can wait 20+ minutes and PVE could get right into the dead game it has been for the last 6 months.
With that new tile set they are using for this event, I am sure it will become the Canny Valley tile set as it seems to fit what they did with the Canny Storm Shield revamp.
It's odd - I love PUBG and tried this, but it felt far too arcadey and the graphics reminded me of WoW (which isn't good - I hate that style) - I just can't get into it. PUBG all day long but this game ... I dunno what I'm missing if it's that popular? Or maybe it's just because there's so many cheap ass gamers out there that can't afford PUBG?
It's free. It's colorful. It's on all major platforms. It's regularly updated because Epic has a huge and experienced team. It's based on a game that was 6 years in development so everything goes smoother. It's somewhat easier to get into. etc.

Good points I dunno, the style does nothing for me, the map is way smaller, the gun action feels worse, the crate system I don't like as much ... I like the ability to build but from the Twitch streams I've watched, the game is too fast paced to make it useful. There's not much time to build and when building, you risk getting shot in the back so you constantly got to look around. It's like they took ideas from Rust and decided "yeah this is how to do it" but to me it doesn't work when the games end so quickly.
Rust has plenty of "deathmatch" maps where you have infinite resources so you quickly build bases, fight other bases, etc. with the K/D ratio determining the winner and it's a hell of a lot of fun - shame so few people know about it. At least here building has a reason since dying doesn't mean all your building was for nothing.
You do make building useful, but not in the conventional way. You don't start building castles, but rather get fast cover and ways to get vantage points over enemies.

I disagree on the 'based on a game' as a positive. I dont think the base game was designed for this kind of gameplay and a few of the issues shine through... like getting shot behind/through cover. It's like lag but not, its really inconsistent
