Wait, you didn't build the actual engine block of your Toyota? The fuck are you? Some sort of scam artist with duct tape and a brush?

So after pushing my car a little bit ( ) I can hear that the engine is sounding a bit more rough (not like a smooth v6) between ~1200 and ~1500 RPM. After that the engine sounds just fine. Did I break something?

if its gone with higher rpm the exhaust most likely isnt the reason, would check the turbocharger

Satellite 340 update:
Ok new camshaft and new valve springs to help with the increased lift!
Old cam:
- .422/.444 valve lift
- 278/288 advertised duration
New cam:
- .480/.480 valve lift
- 280/280 advertised duration
Sacrifice a bit of torque down at 1500 rpm for way more grunt past 3500 rpm, should be able to shift at like 5800-6000rpm now when with the old one I would shift at like 5500 rpm tops.
If I want more lift in the future, I'll have to machine the valve spring seats lower, this is about the max lift I can have without having to worry about coil bind.
Alsp got a Holley 750 carb to replace the tiny 600 I have right now, should be done with fuel issues with this and the new electric pump I ordered.
And can remove the mechanical pump so thats like +5hp more to the rear wheels!

Just ordered a wideband AFR sensor to get the tuning exactly right and not just "close enough".

Didn't do anything and it's gone now. I don't know when oil was changed last time. Should I change it all to 0W40 just to be sure?

don't overdo the polish, as the air won't twirl and your mixing will suffer

I know, cry everytime I look at some porting video on youtube and some retard does a mirror finish on the intake port... The fuel will also end up as droplets on the intake port walls if it is too smooth.
The flash on the camera just makes it look shiny.

I might go for another company car in the new company and if they are not restricting me engine wise (they might force diesel only) I might go for something sporty this time. Like the M240i Though I like the quad pipe exhausts, the interior design, the 4 door entry and the 3 seats in the back of the S3 sedan more. Also the S3 is bigger, right? But it's "just" a 2.0 TFSI 4 cylinder, while the M240i is a 6 cylinder... 310HP vs 340HP but the BMW should be much quicker.
If I want the extra space with BMW I have to go with the 330i, which is still mega fast (in my world guys) at 258HP, but it's also only a 4 cylinder.
BTW automatic is a must. I mean, manual is fun, but the automatic is just much quicker and if you want even more economical.
Any alternatives from the bigger brands?

Pricewise the Kia Stinger with V6 is totally out of my league

there's "only" a price difference of 5k eur from the 240i
also there's always the 5.0 Mustang
I really despise the unavailability of cheap/small new cars with 6 or more cylinders

I don't know if hybrids are a thing at that company, but I love my Lexus GS450h. It's very comfy at normal setting, but very sporty at sport setting (you need the optional adaptive suspension though). It's also very fast. For such a big car, it handles surprisingly well.
