Batman Ninja - 6.5/10
I appreciate a lot of the ridiculousness of it, but I hate the extreme animuuuu aspect of it with characters squeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaking all the time. Visuals ranged from excellent to "uh, those 3D models look like... 3D models. "
Batman and Harley Quinn - 7/10
I tried watching this 3 times, but the first couple I found it unbelievably bad and had to stop. The 3rd one somehow the flick clicked with me, I recognized how silly, on purpose, it is, and had a lot of fun with it!
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter - 5/10
Probably the 3rd best in the series. There's barely any plot in it, but it moves blazing fast, and both Jovovich and Glen deliver good performances (also taking into account the material, of course).
Game Night - 7/10
Cute and fun.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

Red Sparrow - 5/10 (-2 for the retarded Russian accents)
It's a decent R rated spy flick, with a cohesive plot that makes sense. Characters are a bit thin but give memorable performances and in general were well cast. Unfortunately the elephant in the room here is Jennifer Lawrence's Russian accent, it's an absolute immersion killer and wrecks just about every scene. Could have just used a Russian actress like Olga Kurylenko which would have put this to 7-8/10 territory.

Game Night - 7/10
Wow, an American comedy that doesn't make most of it jokes on farts and sex jokes.

Anon (2018)
6/10
It's practically a black mirror episode that is too long and boring. The idea was nice but the way they did it, especially the script.... meh

Deadpool 2 7.5/10
Enjoyable sequel and the best CBM I've seen since Logan. I liked the original more though.

Looks interesting but men the trailer has won the award for the most mismatched music in the known time and universe.

The Do-Over 7.5/10: Great movie! Adam Sandler does it again! Funny jokes, raunchy..Can't believe I missed this one when it came out. Reminded me of when David Spade teamed up with Chris Farley.. I can eat peaches for hours!!

Deadpool 2 - 8/10
So funny and full of action, it was awesome. There's no meaningful plot here but no one cares.

Revenge - 8/10 .. summary fit bird is left for dead in desert by three guys. I'm sure it will be full of plot holes but the action is brutal. Really enjoyed it

The Post - 7/10
Not a memorable movie, but it has the quality of not doing anything particularly wrong. There's a damn good cast (almost too good since some roles felt underused), Spielberg's direction does its competent job and the Murican Nixonian topic is an interesting one. The result is a bit on the shallow side in terms of depth as it only scratches the surface of the scandal, but as a well-crafted entertainment product it works.
Take Shelter - 8/10
I had missed this gem back in the day, glad that I finally cleared this spot from the hollybacklog. Unique, atmospheric and more unsettling than I imagined, with a glorious Michael Shannon (Jessica Chastain as well) and a subtle ambiguity between reality and ill imagination which keeps the mystery on. The ending contributes to amplifying the doubt or..maybe not, it's up to the viewer to decide I like metaphors

A Quiet Place (2018)
6.5/10
1) The film's premise is kinda ridiculous all things considered.
2) Annoyingly stupid kids, I'm talking mostly about the girl coz another stupid little shit Spoiler: | won't be with us for long |
3) Spoiler: | Getting pregnant? Seriously? They should have practised anal sex more. Dick in da butt and her fingers in da pussy. Multiple orgasms guaranteed. No pregnancy. Profit
And if it was deliberate then considering the circumstances I'm just speechless... |
4) I find it hard to believe the US government's agencies & military couldn't Spoiler: | find a weakness of these creatures. I mean, if your enemies are totally blind and rely solely on a superior hearing than this is clearly the way to go when it comes to researching your enemy. |
5) Again..the stupidity of the girl.. Spoiler: | How could she ignore the second time she got saved by her device? How couldn't she see the pattern and connect the dots? And all for the cheap I-have-always-loved-you scene with the dad |
6) Spoiler: | the creature made a giant hole in the silo in a matter of seconds but couldn't get the kids from the car? Riight |
7) I seriously doubt that having such a superior hearing these creatures couldn't Spoiler: | detect (or learn to detect among other sounds) the sound of humans' footsteps and stuff |
8 ) considering that these creatures are Spoiler: | blind they must be using some kind of advanced echolocation to navigate around which means they shouldn't have any problems detecting their prey especially if it is moving and it shouldn't matter much whether it is moving silently or not |
9) The film felt too short tbh. They should have written a better script and made the film longer.
PS The atmosphere was nice, the acting was good and the creature looked lovely
