Batman Ninja - 6.5/10

I appreciate a lot of the ridiculousness of it, but I hate the extreme animuuuu aspect of it with characters squeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaking all the time. Visuals ranged from excellent to "uh, those 3D models look like... 3D models. Sad "

Batman and Harley Quinn - 7/10

I tried watching this 3 times, but the first couple I found it unbelievably bad and had to stop. The 3rd one somehow the flick clicked with me, I recognized how silly, on purpose, it is, and had a lot of fun with it!

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter - 5/10

Probably the 3rd best in the series. There's barely any plot in it, but it moves blazing fast, and both Jovovich and Glen deliver good performances (also taking into account the material, of course).

Game Night - 7/10

Cute and fun.

TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."

Red Sparrow - 5/10 (-2 for the retarded Russian accents)

It's a decent R rated spy flick, with a cohesive plot that makes sense. Characters are a bit thin but give memorable performances and in general were well cast. Unfortunately the elephant in the room here is Jennifer Lawrence's Russian accent, it's an absolute immersion killer and wrecks just about every scene. Could have just used a Russian actress like Olga Kurylenko which would have put this to 7-8/10 territory.

Wow, an American comedy that doesn't make most of it jokes on farts and sex jokes.

Anon (2018)

6/10

It's practically a black mirror episode that is too long and boring. The idea was nice but the way they did it, especially the script.... meh

Deadpool 2 8/10
Enjoyable movie with lots of great action and nice humour. Still perhaps liked the first one a tad more since it had that element of surprise.
End credit scenes earned one point, was worried there for a sec. Very Happy

Kodachrome 6/10
Enjoyable drama about some father/son relationship. Elizabeth Olsen is always nice to look at. Smile

Enjoyable sequel and the best CBM I've seen since Logan. I liked the original more though.

Deadpool 2 - 9/10

Yep. Nine out of ten. I like it much more than the first one. Way better script, better action, Deadpool char had more depth.

X-Force was awesome. I see the future in them and not emo mutants first class. And Peter, what a guy!

And that MID credits scene The best part was everyone in the cinema was waiting for aftercredits scene but apart The Awesome last minute song there is none.

The guest - 8 / 10

Ok it was a 6-7/10 movie but the great synth soundtrack and a charismatic as fuck main character made it an easy 8 for me personally.
This fucking character is the closest I've ever been to turning gay...in a good way...I think?

The Post - 7/10

Not a memorable movie, but it has the quality of not doing anything particularly wrong. There's a damn good cast (almost too good since some roles felt underused), Spielberg's direction does its competent job and the Murican Nixonian topic is an interesting one. The result is a bit on the shallow side in terms of depth as it only scratches the surface of the scandal, but as a well-crafted entertainment product it works.

Take Shelter - 8/10

I had missed this gem back in the day, glad that I finally cleared this spot from the hollybacklog. Unique, atmospheric and more unsettling than I imagined, with a glorious Michael Shannon (Jessica Chastain as well) and a subtle ambiguity between reality and ill imagination which keeps the mystery on. The ending contributes to amplifying the doubt or..maybe not, it's up to the viewer to decide Very Happy I like metaphors

Certainly a great movie. Always recommended. If Ben Mendelsohn had his prime on Animal Kingdom or Beautiful Kate, Michael Shannon had his prime on this very movie.

9) The film felt too short tbh. They should have written a better script and made the film longer.

PS The atmosphere was nice, the acting was good and the creature looked lovely Laughing
